Fury in another twitter beef

Put the twitter down Tyson !

Image

Dozens of celebrities, including the likes of Royle Family star Ricky Tomlinson, actress Sheridan Smith and Everton legend Joe Royle, have helped to publicise the unsolved killing after the Jones family launched an awareness campaign.

Andrew, 51, said he was shocked to get the reply from Morecambe-based boxer Fury.

He told the ECHO: “I was speechless.

“I’ve been asking celebrities for retweets for a few weeks in the hope that the message spreads and that justice catches up with the people who killed my son.

“For the most part, they’ve been great. They’ve retweeted the message, posed with awareness posters and spread the message.

“But I couldn’t believe the message Tyson Fury sent. I think he owes me an apology.

“For someone in the public eye, with such a high-profile to say ‘I’m not a grass’ – what message does that send?

“I hope he never has to go through 11 years of what I and my wife have. I hope he never loses his son and spends years not knowing if justice is ever going to arrive.

“It was a horrible thing to say. He should know better.”

I wouldn't call it mocking, but he really doesn't help himself sometimes, especially on twitter, where he seems to simply write whatever goes through his head without a single thought for the consequences.

He's simply not getting involved. His dad is in prison doing a long one, it wouldn't look good for Tyson to start going on about all sorts. Worry about the job in hand, Gomez.

Not getting involved means not replying at all. Not castigating anyone who helps find the guys who murdered the guys son as grasses

He helped the story get more attention by responding this way.

Not getting involved would have been to ignore it, not do this. I find Fury quite funny on twitter but someone in his position shouldn't be doing anything like this

Every celeb gets 100s of tweets a day asking to support a cause. If they dont want to, they scroll up. Fury's comment there is disgraceful (and I'm a Fury fan). There's stupid, there's funny stupid and then there's Tyson Fury. One of the most idiotic tweets ive seen for a while

Definitely not intentional, but through being a knobhead, he has actually managed to bring wider media coverage onto the story.

Tyson Fury acts like a knobhead in shock news story.

What surprising thing will be revealed next? The stoppage in Froch vs Groves was early? Footballers are paid a lot of money? Tuesday traditionally follows Monday?

Is there a boxrec meet up tomorrow?

Silly thing for Tyson to tweet, he is a thoughtful and religious man with a stupid and insensitive alter ego.

I'm up for it, I'm with some big hitters though.. Get the feeling me and you will get on, but I won't with half of the southerners.

Usually I think Tysons twitter is pure comedy value and I normally love it when he tweets back at the haters. But he should have just let this one slide.

But come on this is not the first time Tyson has done something contraversial on Twitter only have to look at the below.

Well on the plus side for Fury, looking forward to the fight as I'm hoping Chisora flattens him.

I think it's a bad tweet. I like Tyson but he's always looking for a reaction so tweets the first thing that comes into his head. I'm quite similar that way I find it fun to have some banter although there is a line and he has deffo crossed it. If he didn't want involved he should of ignored it
