Sprott-Virchis fight and undercard
On Eurosport now.
Just showed Dennis Boytsov blasting out an unathletic Zoltan Petranyi.
Am potentially impressed with Boytsov, though thi sfight didn't show it. Seems almost like Dennis was carrying him - felt like he could get the KO at any time, but looked like he fancied a light warm up first.
Boytsov reminds me in style of Tyson - he is 6ft and stalks his man. He is powerful and fast. Definitely one to watch.

Well Virchis wins the decision.... watching on Eurosport I had Sprott by one round - thought Holdsworth's commentary and scoring was very biased and misleading though.
Sprott's shots were more eye catching, but I thought Virchis landed a lot of clubbing blows and body shots.
Thought Sprott edged it, but just not the robbery Steve claims.

When Matt Zegan lost, due to a horrible decision, to Artur Grigorian, I swore to God that I would never again watch a fight promoted by Universum or Sauerland. I did not keep that promise, I've seen lots of fights, and lots of horrible decisions since then. Today I witnessed another one, Sprott vs Virchis. When I look at the names of the judges I see that two of them robbing Zegan back then, now robbed Sprott. Joachim Jacobsen and Arthur Ellensohn. Kohl and Sauerland just keeps on doing this, on and on and on. They are laughing, and their saliva sprinkles in the air, and we can do nothing about it. We love boxing, they love money. There is nothing we can do about it, all we do is listening to Kohl's and Sauerland's laughter, and getting their saliva on our faces. Will they ever pay for this?
Zegan vs Grigorian was really really bad, in my top 3 robberies altime.
I think one of the reasons that Sauerland left BDB was due to some of the officials. IMO it has been a long time since I have seen a robbery on a Sauerland card (Have not seen Kursawa vs Mock).
Ellensohn is now president of BDB.

True, but why did Sprott come out so slowly at the start of round 6? He should have jumped straight on him at the start of that round. He barely threw a shot for the first minute in that round.REAL_DEAL wrote:shame about the end of the 5? when sportt had him on jelly legs. another 1 minute left and he could of stopped him or force and ocuple of knock downs.
Do you know what I was thinking about halfway through..... cause I knew Sprott would need a KO to get a draw.steve689 wrote:Your missing a rare treat Freiheit, Kurzawa-Mock is a classic robbery.I had Sprott winning this fight but was shocked by how poor and generally crap Virchis was, bloody hell he was dire!!
I was thinking (and please crucify me).... "Here is an avenue for Audley to comeback".
Virchis was poor, didn't expect him to be that bad. Way overated power and was struggling to hold Sprotts shots at times. I thought he was hurt on two or three occasions.
If Audley can get this fight in Britain he'll win a decision... Virchis was worse than Williams.
One Virchis punch on the button and Harrison would get knocked cold.stujones wrote:Do you know what I was thinking about halfway through..... cause I knew Sprott would need a KO to get a draw.steve689 wrote:Your missing a rare treat Freiheit, Kurzawa-Mock is a classic robbery.I had Sprott winning this fight but was shocked by how poor and generally crap Virchis was, bloody hell he was dire!!
