Skelton V Gammer

Post by Wales »

Jan 28th in Nottingham.
What does everyone think of this one?
Personally dont see it as a good move for either man. Skelton supposedly going on to fight Williams in an eliminator for bigger things whilst gammer, a relative novice at 29 (still young for a HW with 16odd fights) is surely still learning his trade in the pro game.
Is this a mandatroy for Skelton?

It is a mandatory, could happen as early as January. Can't see anything other than Gammer getting his boots smoked. He'll last longer than Fatty McDermott, maybe even more than Krence, but I doubt it.

Yup, Gammer's boots will be barbecue-smoked in 3 rounds....

Gammer was floored in the second round of his fight with Suren Kalachyan and just managed a 57-56 win on Satyrday night, it might have been a case of Gammer taking his opponent to lightly, but he will need to be on form to make any sort of impression on Skelton.

Is Gammar definately the mandatory. What about Williams? what about Sprott?

Sprott was supposed to fight McDermott in the second semi final for the eliminator, but got the EBU title instead - now he is out of the title hunt abroad what about him ranking?

Williams got suspended from fighting for the British title, but that is soon ending? Hasn't he a case?

Sprott would make a laughing stock of Williams now

I'd fancy Sprott with everyone in the domestic mix - excluding Skelton, he has come on leaps and bounds since the Skelton mauling.

Gammer has a decent chin , but Matt will wipe the floor with him in 3 short rounds.
