Had to laugh at one guy behind me, he spent the previous hour or so chipping on about how calzaghe could never beat froch and as the fight ended went "see that's what would have happened to him" as if that somehow proved his point that froch is fistic kryptonite to boxers with speed.

if Froch had done that to Calzaghe I'd have been so upset I'd have had to take 2 years out from following any boxing I think. Wouldn't be so bad if he was a humble sort of chap, but I've never seen him like that in any piece I've watched on him, ever! Perhaps being in Calzaghe's shadow made him like that but Calzaghe's been retired for a while now.

There are plenty of long time posters who have stayed and some have changed their usernames. I still really enjoy the interaction and banter. I am more conciliatory than others but I'm like that in real life as well, I do admire some of the more nutty ones though, I imagine they're nothing like as mental in the day time.

British and Irish is my favourite, the CS is a bit crazy and OT is good as well. I think a load will be pleased to see you're still around, the really old timers moan that the best posters have gone because of the antics of some of the newer ones.

From what perspective? What exactly is depressing? I'm confused by your post.

Froch winnning and in that fashion, we will never hear the last of this, hopefully DeGale completely takes him to pieces next time out.

That's like saying you hope to win the lottery without putting a ticket on. At least you could hope Froch fights ward or Kovalev next, then you might get your hearts desire

Has anyone been to a fight and seen both boxers booed into the ring as Groves and Froch were? Wembley must have been full of at best casual fans. Great reception for Frank Bruno but none for Eubank and Watson, both British boxing legends. The atmosphere was wierd throughout the night, and the Sky commentary was bloody terrible.

It was a first for me. Was a terrible moment. 2 great british guys in London, it was baffling. Same at weigh in.

Not an atmsphere that i'll care to remember sadly.

I thought the hype was a bit disproportionate to the fight, but that's just boxing for you.

It was a fight I wanted to see after the controversy of the first fight, but at the same time I didn't think it was quite the event that Sky were making it out to be. In that a once in a lifetime boxing occasion the would never be repeated. It wasn't really. It was a fight that was only happening because the first fight wasn't refereed properly.

I watched it, and enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong. But I just think the Hearn hype was a bit OTT.

On a side, minus the ad breaks between rounds - Sky can you please use that as the template for any more PPV events.... After 30 minutes of hype at the start, it was pretty much non stop fights.... good to see.

Still not sure what they do with Adam Smith on screen, it seems his role is now just to interview journo's (and I'm sure Ed can do that well). For me he is a better presenter than Nelson, but in terms of production after the Joshua fight - cannot fault it (aside from the ad breaks).

I noticed this. Apart from the DeGale fight finishing early, so them having a bit more time to kill, there wasn't much filler in the card.

10 minutes after a fight finished, there was another one starting. Not endless sitting around, whilst announcers talk bollocks, chat to celebrities I've never heard of an generally just kill time.

For it to work though, most fights need to go the distance. There will always be time to kill if loads of the fights finish in the first two rounds. There's not a lot you can do about that.

SORRY TO GLOAT ON THIS ONE BUT MY POST FROM LAST TUESDAY. Couldnt have been more right. FOR ONCE!

ive been sitting on the fence about 1 who do i want to win and 2 who do i think will win for over a month now, but this programme convinced me Froch is gonna pan him badly this time.

Why ?

I do think the verbals had a part to play in the first one and that this is part of groves gameplan, he comes from the booth camp and we know how Haye liked to play silly games at times.

Simply put they arent working, he has no new material and Froch answered all of his questions calmly and with a menacing stare, Groves at times looked like a Ginger Guppy gasping for air and straw to grasp.

They wind up isnt working Geroge and this time i think you are gonna find out what a warrior Froch is.

I thought having Yafai on the card helped kill the time. Yes his fight only lasted a round but at least they had him and Degale to discuss further.

Good production I thought. Maybe slightly too long at the end of the fight, nearly an hour of Froch fest post fight. However, at least you can turn off at the end of the main event.
