Froch has earned the right to swerve anyone and not get stick for it but as a fan that hurts to hear :( Never thought I'd hear him say something like that either. I was wondering whether he was messing about but it seems like there's some truth in there with the wry expression. The money wouldn't be big enough either.

Agreed 100%. I was only pointing out that he had no intention of fighting Golovkin due to Golovkins power. He's earned the right to go for the big money fight now, whereever it is, and not get any stick. He certainly won't be getting stick from me for swerving GGG

I am in agreement with earlier posters, froch has the best resume of any British Boxer of modern times, outside of Lennox. To start criticising him for dodging is not on
I am also not sure how much I buy into this mutant power GGG has. Yes he hits hard but just how much harder than the next best middleweight can he hit?? Given the nature of the human body in sports it's more or less impossible to see any one person, who's power is so much than their peers. Obviously there is always the top dog but they are never 'that' far ahead of the field.

I know this is only a pad session but this is pretty spectacular stuff. Check the above link.
I don't think there's any doubting GGG's power, but if Stevens, Adamu & Rosado can last 22 rounds against GGG between them, it doesn't seem too much of a stretch that a genuine super-middle with a proven chin like Froch can take GGG the distance.
What I do doubt, however, is that Froch would genuinely go out of his way to 'swerve' GGG; Froch has never shown signs of being scared of anyone, let alone a middleweight whose best win is against Macklin. I honestly don't know what else Froch can do to win some people over, he's fought absolutely everybody worth fighting in his division, yet still has his courage questioned!

There is a difference between pointing out that Froch has SAID HIMSELF that he is dodging Golovkin, and criticising Froch for dodging Golovkin. I never criticised him, I merely pointed out that he is swerving GGG and wants none of him.

You may want to watch the actual video linked in the thread where Froch admits that he will "swerve Golovkin like the plague, hits like a mule".

I think it's safe to say he hits very hard, although hitting bigger men might not have the same effect.
As for the video about Froch mentioning GGG, I thought that was blatant tongue and cheek and rather obvious, do you really believe a world class fighter would come out publicly and say "I'll swerve him like the plague, he punches like a mule, I don't need to be in with him" just remember he looked at the crowd and laughed. Froch fought Bute straight after Ward loss. I doubt Carl Froch fears any fighter.
It's just comical how Brits will rationalize things like that.
