Does anyone know if Sky are showing Morales Vs Pacman, or any of the three big showtime bills early nest year - ( I know Lacy - Calzaghe will be shown on ITV)

Sky will show loads of USA shows next year as their current crop of UK promters eem incapable of putting a show together.

They cancel more than they put on these days.

The standard of SKY shows has been pretty strong of late, better than that rubbish that was served up on ITV last Saturday that's for certain.

I don't know about you but I watched a British Title Fight, A fight for a Commonwealth Title that also happened to be the biggest domestic heavyweight bout in over 10 years and the latest fight in the career of Britain's biggest boxing talent. Sure, the Fraudley fight wasn't the most exciting, but you can't blame ITV - they put it out live in prime time terrestrial TV for free ffs.

Warren became a victim of his own success, he had such a large proportion of the pool of fighters in this country, that nobody wanted to face one another. This resulted in crap TBA fights, and lack of interest from the public and dwindling money on offer from TV.

James, I see your point but if Warren had all the decent fighters tied up then surely that just makes it easier for the matches to be made - kind of like getting a shot at the heavyweight title only if you're part of King's stable.

It's the lot of the sports fan that for every 4-3 end-to-end thriller there's bound to be a dull-as-dishwater 0-0 draw, but they could at least start by picking two sides that deserved to be playing one another...

You're missing the point. If a promoter has most of the domestic talent, which Warren did for a long time, where's the impetus to make the matchups, it's not in the promoters interest to do so economically.

Big Domestic fights are usually between people from rival camps for good reasons.

It's good simple stuff. Is Sky only show British, Commonwealth, European and the world titles (with the odd eliminator) it forces the fighters and promoters to go for these titles to earn their money. As we saw with Magee Vs Froch there were 5 promoters fighting over one TV date.

Yep, you're right. But then some of the blame does have to be laid at Sky's door for not demanding the matches, and then by extension the blame has to be laid at our door for putting up meekly with the crap we got. But FW's no charity, you're right.
