Then doing well must be all the sweeter, he's not underated because people dislike him or because it's a personal thing. It's grand when someone comes good and things turn for them. You don't have to knock butler or Haskins though, they'll have had things not go their way and have to keep on going. If you can admire Study then if you look close you'll see things in butler and Haskins to admire.

Not me, both to cocky go their own good and both attacking Stu constantly.

It's a business as well as a sport and if there's a bit of a beef or a grudge that can be built there's a bit more interest and a bit more money for both. Where's the harm in that? They are all boxers - used to fighting and taking punches, how can someone's tongue upset them so much? It's not personal, it's to get a shot and/or to drum up interest. I doubt very much if Butler or Haskins gives a monkeys if what they say upsets a friend of Halls. When they fight and split some decent money it'll be forgotten and in 25 years when they meet up at an ex boxers association they'll have nothing but good memories about it all.

I've not really noticed them say a great deal or slate Stuey at all. It may be that because you're close then you're hyper sensitive. Stuey Hall seems a decent man with his feet on the ground and most posters on here were pleased that he made the most of his shot. The way to prove them wrong is in the ring and that's Stueys' job. You can't expect other people (Haskins his team and his family and Butler and his team/family to stop chatting or to just say things that you like - it's not how the world is.

I'd relax if I were you and enjoy your friend/family member being a notable person worth talking about.

I mpedigreesome money on Hall.

butler has alot more ability than hall.faster too unbeaten younger excellent amateur pedigree got the better in sparring and confident.hall is bigger more experienced at the higher level mentally strong and is the champion .butler has not been tested so how the odds are so wide I dont know but the price for hall looks worth a gamble

Remember you only have butler's word for him being better in sparing than hall just like he says he is only 1-1/2" smaller than hall.

You've made a good point nick and hall didn't have an incredible record either before he got his chance. Do you think that team butler are throwing their man away to the wolves? Are they trying to make a fast few quid out of him?

It is because Warren does not have a world champion, and hasn't had one for some time. By his standards, its one of the leanest periods he has had as a promoter. In a year end interview in December, he said his priority for 2014 was getting world champs in his stable. We are half way through the year and so far, nothing.

When Fury beats Chisora, Frank is left with BJS and Frankie Gavin. And Butler, if he prevails this weekend. Buglioni has been relegated from the Copperbox back to York Hall and faces a rebuilding job. Warren needs a world champ asap and Butler may well be his man. If so, Frank can build up a good hometown situation in Liverpool.

That said, his TV channel is showing so much top class boxing I feel us subscribers are fleecing him at only £12 a month

I believe that his team are not looking after his interests and Warren is getting desperate, given that during the sparring session hall deliberately let butler hit his chin which had no affect. He should return to the lower weight where in time he could be a multiple world champion.

Wouldn't argue mate. Promoters make the fights and Frank wants a world champ in his stable. Matchroom are the top promoters in the country, by a country mile, if you discount owning your own TV station. If I was Frank I'd want to buck the downward spiral and get myself a world champ too. It's been a particularly long time since he's had a non-WBO champ too. Sooner or later somebody decent is going to take Hall's world title off him, who knows maybe Butler will become a star this weekend ?

After watching hall closely and seeing how he has progressed I believe he will have a few more years at the top and is dedicated to his sport.

Butler is a very tidy boxer with a pretty spiteful punch who is moving up in weight; Stuey is a big lad at the weight and strong, fit with good fundamentals. I think it'll be good for 5 or 6 rounds then Hall will begin to grind Paul down.

Butler has fought who ????, he spared with hall two years ago before the Haskins fight. Hall is now faster and more accurate than he was two years ago when he was holding down a full time job as well as training, now his job is boxing and have a look at butler's record either fighters starting their careers or at the end of them, no serious opposition and remember malingas words hall punches harder than Santa Cruz. Butler is only unbeaten against specially selected opponents.
