Ricardo Mayorga - Nincompoop.
Adrien Broner - Smug, arrogant & not as good as he thinks he is.
James Butler - Violent thug.
Andrew Golota - Dirty bar steward.
Riddick Bowe - Gobby twit (with an A) & terrified of a man who he insists is gay.

It was in reference to Riddick Bowe's constant insulting of Lennox Lewis. He called Lennox gay & tried to infer that Lennox was a girl, yet Bowe didn't have the balls to fight him.evrenb wrote:Made me larffff...didnt get the bowe joke??:-BSyntax Error wrote:Where do I start? :P

I can remember rumours that "IRON" MIKE was as well - daft - but not because some are thought to be not up to competing well in our sport for reasons of sexual preference but just without any basis in facts

Bit "Samson Pahoua" as well. Samson rocked Golota and Andrews dirty street fighting instincts immedietely got the best of him. Golota seemed to have Panic attack issues. Probably would've/could've competed in MMA if it was as big then as it is now. I never seem to see Legit psychological meltdowns in mma,but i've seen my share in boxing. Ex-Golota-Pahoua,Golota-Bowe I & 2,Tyson-Holyfield II,Duran-Leonard II,McCall-Lewis II,Bowe-"That one kickboxer turned boxer",where Bowe's trainer "Rock Newmann" got physically involved.

Oscar De La Hoya: I have never liked him after that fight with Felix "Tito" Trinidad. And much worse when he did his Oscar winning performance against the great Bernard Hopkins.
Wilfred Benitez: Something about him that I did not like. I like his boxing skills, but his demeanor, especially when he beat my favorite fighter the great Roberto Duran. I was crying out loud when he was making the great Sugar Ray Leonard miss for 15 rounds. He was a true great fighter, nevertheless.
Terry Norris: This is a guy that ONLY FOUGHT, overweight welterweights and washed up legends to capitalize on stardom. Once they asked him to ask for Julian Jackson for a rematch or fight Felix "Tito" Trinidad, he did not wanted no part of that.
Mike Tyson: I used to like in the first years of his reign. But once he started all kinds of thrash that he was better than the greats Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali, and that he would stopped them both I started not liking him. Plus, the biting of ears to the great Evander Holyfield, the whining like a bitch after his loss to Buster Douglas, and saying things like "Nobody Can Beat Me" really I wanted someone to kick his ass.

I remember an article from about a decade ago on Maxboxing--either Kim or Katz-- which basically said that the Eurasian domination of the heavyweight division was going to lead to Spike Lee visiting Lennox Lewis on his ganja farm in Jamaica, to plead for Lenny to come back for the glory of the race.
Always gives me a chuckle, the idea of Spike Lee as Jack London confronting a sleepy Lenny trying to remember the code for a jab-right hand: "Was it one blink or two blinks...?"
Re: Who are your least favorite fighters?
my least favorite three
mike Tyson.... an overated immature classless moron. a bully who when stood up to. quit!.
sugar ray leonard....... overrated, still can't understand the haggler fight. vastly overrated
Oscar de lahoya....... flashy- but duran would have killed him. a movie star, not a great fighter.

Re: Who are your least favorite fighters?
I cant say I disliked any fighter, but I have disliked some of the things some fighters have done. I thought Naseem Hamed humiliated many of the men he fought, and his stint in prison did not enhance his reputation. I didnt like the way Ali taunted Frazier and other fighters, which bordered on cruel.
I have to say I hated watching Steve Collins fight, and dont tell Parsons but I wasnt a fan of Johny Nelson.

Re: Who are your least favorite fighters?
Least favorite... I think the two guys I always wanted to see lose, if not hated to a point, was Lennox Lewis and Sugar Ray Leonard.
Re: Who are your least favorite fighters?
I "sorta wanna" not like McCall and Golata for their meltdowns, but I can't bring myself to do it. We all handle stress differently and they both showed they COULD turn in a solid days work, but on a few occasions they acted crazy. Not enough for me to muster a hatred or disgust.
I think I really hate any boxer that has knowingly cheated to win. (Or lose) So for those fighters that REALLY did steroids, I'm not a fan. But unless it can be proven, it does not count. I hate speculating. What I don't know is REALLY what I don't know.
Also, I'm very bias against any fighter who would take money to lose. It's just a butt ugly thing to do as a human being. Once again without PROOF, I'm not going to judge, but if proven, you are on my hate list. lol.
As for drugs other than steroids taken while boxing...I'm not sure I consider them cheaters....other than cheating themselves because out side of steroids I don't think many drugs are "performance enhancing" This goes for alcohol, cannabis and cocaine. I think they work against you in the ring....so if you were on those, and you won.....it's sort of "overcoming" what you took rather than reaping an advantage. But the rules say no dice, if you happen to win on that day. But I do doubt that they gave you an edge.
I'm not set in stone on this opinion, and would love to hear other opinions on it.

Wait a minute, I do have someone on the list. Ricardo Mayorga. He makes me laugh, so I think he's funny I guess, AND I don't like him.

James "Harlem Hammer" Butler seems to be the only fighter really worth hating.
A total piece of garbage.

Re: Who are your least favorite fighters?
There's actually a video I believe on the Arsenio Hall show with Tyson undefeated and in his prime Leonard and Ali . They ask the question who would win between the two and Tyson says he's good but Ali is the greatest.drunkenpiper36 wrote:knockouts67 wrote:Not to Defend Tyson but he never said he would beat Ali or Louis---That is not true at all!
