Just had a scan through the defeated challengers since Joe dropped the belt.
Aside from the Abraham/Stieglitz trilogy, we have:
Nikola Sjekloca, Isaac Ekpo , Yuzo Kiyota, Mehdi Bouadla, Nader Hamdan, henry weber, Khoren Gevor Enrique Ornelas, Eduard Gutknecht, Ruben Eduardo Acosta, Karoly Balzsay, Maselino Masoe, Denis Inkin and Fulgencio Zuniga
Jesus Christ. Perhaps Paul Smith does deserve a go.....
WBO Super Middleweight title
Re: WBO Super Middleweight title
I'd probably pick Gutknecht, Balzsay and Inkin against Smith but i'd fancy his chances against the rest. I'm starting to come round to the idea of Smith fighting for the title. fornicate it, live and let live.garethhop wrote:Just had a scan through the defeated challengers since Joe dropped the belt.

Re: WBO Super Middleweight title
I suspect that it won't be long for before it gets unified with another World title or a good challenger like George Groves or James DeGale pick it up.
Re: WBO Super Middleweight title
Groves will be WBO champion before long, then Smith can't get back to the SM Champion of LiverpoolCrease wrote:I suspect that it won't be long for before it gets unified with another World title or a good challenger like George Groves or James DeGale pick it up.
