Ross Minter V Brett James
Ross Minter V Brett James
Interesting undercard fight i thought, Minter looked solid and compact and held his hands high and worked at a steady pace to break James down. It was my first look at "The Boss" and he looked ok, i would back him to beat Matthew Hatton who in my view is distinctly ordinary. Another interesting thing about the fight on Saturday was how Brett James looked more and more like Injin Chi as the fight wore on and he took more shots...seriously look at the video again and you will definately see a Chi resemblance

I am looking forward to Jennings-Mutley, think Mutley can pull the upset off, he has a punchers chance. Richard Lakin wrote a good article about it in the Star on Saturday buit i can't find it...good fight anyway. Minter should get a crack soon if he keeps winning. As for Matt Hatton, his opposition level is pretty dire considering he is nearing 30 fights, i think it is a sign he isn't really going anywhere.
That's exactly what I said when someone asked me recently, though I think I said 18 months. Now he's gone full-time though due to his sponsor's support, he might get there quicker.stujones wrote:Enjoyed the contest, think Minter can go a fair bit futher than Matthew Hatton. Give him 12 months (tops) and he'll be ready for Jennings.
I have been really impressed with him all year.
I was impressed.
