Forget all the Ward worshipping, if Froch doesn't go after that re-match he will regret it when he retires. If he did beat Ward his legacy would be complete and it puts him on another level still, if he doesn't he gave it every ounce he had and will have absolutely no regrets.

The other fights are pointless for me.

Agree with everything you said, for me you remember a great fighter for beating the best, and fighting the Big names in Boxing. Sadly not winning World titles anymore, those days are gone.
Carl Froch needs to be in with Andre Ward or GGG next. And if he wins ?

froch's achievements, even with the ward defeat, are still pretty remarkable. in particular the IBF title run has been superb and highly eventful.

ward is an ugly fight and a difficult assignment, given the American's athletic talent and spoiling, fight suffocating tactics. with ward sidelined, after injuries and now promoter problems, now is froch's time to remain lean and mean, to take the biggest fights, and to become an even bigger attraction - this will help in negotiations with ward, when ward is out of the mess he's fallen into.

I do think there's potential for froch vs golovkin.

Credit to Carl, he has accepted that he could never beat the champion at SMW and has settled for entertaining fights.
Hope he has one more big one and rides into the sunset.

multiple champions are a reality of boxing and carl has been an excellent IBF champ. he isn't the very best at the weight but his achievements are considerable and the kind of fights he's been featured in are the kind of fights ppl want to see.

I followed unbeaten joe calzaghe's career; full credit to him, awesome to see him get to the IBHOF - watching big fight live in 1996 vs Delaney as a teenager I could never foresee joe having such an outstanding career - & beat lacy, Kessler, Hopkins. but, what an infuriating career to follow: often soft contact bouts (as opposed to froch's bone crunchers), many mismatches (as opposed to froch's fierce 11-bout back to back opposition interrupted only by one mismatch, mack), caution selecting the next opponent (as opposed to froch fighting anyone, going in there, making mistakes, losing, coming back better), constant pullouts (as opposed to froch fighting wars with injuries i.e. pascal with damaged eardrum). what froch has done is sport at its dramatic, reckless and unpredictable best, vs every kind of opponent.

.

That sort of attitude is thew attitude of a loser and Carl Froch doesn't strike me as that type I'd be very surprised and hugely disappointed IF he did think like that.

Andre Ward is a human being, he has two arms and two legs and despite what some people try to make out he is NOT unbeatable.

There may be multiple belts but there is only one TRUE world champion in each division. Froch should be fighting (literally) to prove he is the best in his.

Nobody wants to fight Ward!
Carl's gone down the entertainment blockbuster route. Non of this artsy fartsy purist shite! Dirrell ran out of town and hid under his bed . Kessler's erased his name from memory and Bernard Hopkins has declared him his lil bro!
Andre was last seen playing frisbee with Rigondeuax talking football.

I've got a hunch that it will be GGG next. And you know what I'd pick froch to win as well.

GGG punches hard grande but carl is just a rough touch hard bastard and I reckon he could take his shots and win in a dramatic one late doors

I would have Nigel Benn in there before Froch, however if he fights and beats GGG and Ward then most definitely he deserves his place.
