The official RBR thread 7th June 2014

David Price in round 3 now. Winning every round up to now but breathing heavier than I'd expect in the corner.

Be interesting if it goes into 5 or 6 - will price blow out and panic?

I saw the spoiler thread. I didn't click on it though. Are there Live fights on this card or is just repeats?

They're showing the Price fight on tape delay from Germany, the rest of the show is the Hall-Butler card from Newcastle :TU:

Edit: Bunce has just confirmed the Braehmer fight will be shown after the Hall-Butler fight.

Think this is the kind of guy he needed to be in with in his fight after the Thompson fight really. He seemed to be breathing very heavily, but he seemed to be breathing equally heavily from round 3 through to like round 8 so maybe he is just one of these guys who always looks knackered. I remember Junior Witter always being a very heavy breather in the corner.

That will have done Price the world of good, mentally knowing that he can get through the 10 rounds will be huge for him. Before tonight he'd only boxed 50 rounds as a professional, this is the sort of fight he needed instead of the Thompson fight, it wasn't a great fight to watch, but he's done 10 rounds against a decent opponent.

Good to see Price get 10 rounds under his belt but it was pretty uninspired from the start and Tommy Brooks said the same 3 things on loop,if Price can't get bettert than that in UK then by God our trainers must be hopeless

Yeah it was a very "by the numbers" performance for David Price. He got the job done, but there was nothing spectacular about it. But of course with the 2 KO losses, the guy just needs a win.

He definitely has a lot of improvement still ahead of him.

Agree that is exactly what he needed. He did look knakered from the start but got through the 10 without any problems. It seemed to me that he was attempting to work on a few defensive moves throughout the fight. I'd like to see at least 2 more fights at this level. Maybe go for the eu tittle at the end of the year.

My "...way to do it" was in regards to Ovill's right hand, mate.

Just to clear up any confusion.

This is the first I've ever seen the guy, I'm instantly a fan. He seems a very likeable guy, and a tremendous puncher too boot.

was looking at Saunders' opponent's record earlier. 2 years older and done nothing of note. Finnish. Sounds like a walkover tbh - although that's actually unfair on Saunders I guess!
