no how about world class fighters. This guy has a world title. There's been enough farce title fights with this belt.

the chap who I've not seen but who sounds like he has world class credentials is the Doncaster lad, McDonnell. This guy can pick up a belt - bin it - then go and pick up another against a good Thai. McDonnell sounds like he has some considerable skill to me.

McDonnell didn't exactly bin the title, it was stripped from him, some would say unfairly, by the IBF. His WBA 'title', actually means he is just the mandatory challenger to Anselmo Moreno, who's the real WBA champion.

The third judge and the ring announcer were both useless.

judge might have been at a different angle. Generally tho I agree. It's astounding for things like ring announcing to be having errors, they should prepare themselves. There again, boxing decisions can sometimes be confusing to some.
I remember when Michael Hunter (the then British champ) beat Pickering. It was announced as a split decision I think then the MC said "and still the champion of Great Britain".......so I, supporting Hunter shouted "Yes!"........could've heard a pin drop in the place only when they said and new Commonwealth and European did they join in!

Butler has showed his limited future through having a tough fight with Hall who is not world class.

Agree that the MC is awful but then everything to do with allegedly is old skool crap. Bunce, Lillies being buffoons who have no polish at all. It is painful to watch. Even at big events they bring in old fashioned, past it Rosenthal

I'd rather watch them than watch the Sky lot. And the commentary is a thousand times better than Sky.

I like Woodhall and Al Bernstein on Channel 5. Rosenthal used to be to boxing what Lynam was to football - he was better! But it's a poor do if there's no competition 25yrs later.

Can't see it personally, think Butler will go back down to super flyweight, or he'll fight Caballero at bantamweight. There's still plenty of fights out there for Hall, McDonnell again is an option and with Bradley Saunders looking a class act, I'd expect more shows on up in the North East. Another option for him is to move up to super bantam and chase Frampton and Quigg.

I think Carl eats all these guys for breakfast with whatever sauce you like, brown red HP or daddies....

I had Stuey Hall winning that fight by 1 round, absolutely no idea where that 117-11 Butler scorecard came from? Got the impression last night that he was the chosen one and Hall was there to have his belt taken off him by the Warren lot.

I had Hall nicking it by a round too(115-114) it was close,cant argue with the winner or even that wide score either really,there were a lot of close rounds,a right pick'em and maybe the judge just preferred Butler's snappier,faster combinations,i personally preferred Halls power shots during the middle rounds but either way it was a cracker

TBH i would like to see Butler move back down to Super Flyweight,only if he was offered another title shot of course
