After the second fight with Duran was asked if he wanted to fight Thomas Hearns. His response was. If Leonard had beaten prior he would have gotten sh-t for beating a smaller guy rising in weight. Funny how Marvin Hagler is the only guy who seems to get away with that and being appraised for it besides.

You're absolutely correct, he never came close to ducking Pryor. That and the big 4 ducking McCallum are two of the silliest myths of that time frame.
