Martinez has a cut on his eyelid, and some nasty swelling around the other eye.

Let's see if Cotto runs away from a fight with Golovkin the way all the other belt holders have done.

Congrats to Cotto for becoming Puerto Rico's first 4 weight division world champion. That is an immense accomplishment considering all the fighters that have come out of Puerto Rico.

Sergio had several rounds to catch him and he couldn't. By the end of the fight he was doing nothing meaningful and was getting beaten up.

I was more disappointed in him than I was impressed by Cotto.

Cotto vs Canelo and Canelo vs Floyd 2 are the most likely fights to expect.

Both would be blockbusters.

Canelo has to get by Lara first, which is FAR from a sure thing that's for damn sure. I kinda doubt Cotto would face Lara if he beat Canelo.

I also don't look for Cotto to face GGG.

was Martinez that shot or was cotto really that sharp?
cotto just looked soooooo ready for everything Martinez had.
I could see cotto fighting soliman maybe, or maybe just a voluntary
defense against someone at the bottom of the top 10. I seriously hope
he doesn't fight GGG. I don't even want to see him fight quillin.
maybe he should go back down to 154 and fight Andrade or the
alvarez-lara winner or maybe even take Molina's ibf (if Molina can
ever sneak back into the country.)

Fvck Canelo. Triple G is the one who deserves to face Cotto. That belt would have been Golovkin's if Sergio didn't duck him so shamefully.

It looked more like him being shot in general than the knee. His legs have never been all over the place like that before and Cotto isn't a huge puncher.

Shite like that fro ikorolev and Mad Artist, a pair of wankers that haven't even quibbled about a bill discrepancy, let alone judging a boxing round, are what's destroying this forum. I couldn't rely on these two dickheads to give me an accurate depiction of a blind cordial tasting, let alone a RBR FFS!

His knees were gone before the fight started. How did he expect to win walking on straight legs ?

His knees are SHOT TO SH*T!!!!!

I dont care what any of you clowns say!!! My God!

What is up with this willful ignorance just because people are so desperate to praise Cotto????? He did what he was supposed to do, or what 20 other middle weight boxers could have done!!!! Take any random middle weight in the top 20 and have him face Martinez last night..........ALL OF THEM BEAT MARTINEZ!!!! BECAUSE THE OLD MAN HAD BAD KNEES!!!! How exactly could he withstand any decent punch on toothpicks for legs.....GET REAL!!!!

It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that Martinez was extremely damaged goods. Give Martinez the damn benefit of the doubt that he could never look like complete GARBAGE against a lesser boxer. Martinez never gave an excuse, but deep down we will know THE TRUTH.....

Cotto is a high level boxer, but in no way could he dominate someone elite like Martinez without an EXTREME HANDICAP

Enough is enough with this BS!!! A healthy Martinez even past his prime with two good knees destroys Cotto easily
