Scott Harrison gets green light by BBBoC yesterday
Scott Harrison has finally been given the go ahead to resume his boxing career. Does anyone think he could regain a world title? How far do you think he could go?
I hear he has always been in training and sparring with Willie Limond....maybe a potential match up for Scott Cardle on the burns V zlaticanin card? Personally i think he would need a warm up fight before this. Granted he doesnt have much time on his hands so needs to get into the thick of things.

I do worry what will become of Scott when he hangs up he gloves but for now, despite his past, giving him a license seems to be a good thing. At least it will keep him focused and away from the drink.

Maybe a European. Probably British. His days of world title challenging have long long gone.

yeah I reckon to have any chance of a world title shot his only hope is if Ricky manages to get his hands on one again. Cant really see anyone else giving him a shot. I hope he can defy the odds and get back to his best and give scottish boxing another boost.

Can't see him making it past domestic level, everything that he did well at featherweight will be negated by the move up in weight, he doesn't have the size to bully opponents any more and the long layoff and abuse of his body won't help him either. The Walsh fight showed where he's at, he ran him close, but he ran out of steam late on, I just can't see him beating the top names domestically and certainly not at world level.

I dunno, mickey combined the crisps witty remark with my own legitimate post, making it original, funny and has a certain "je ne sais quoi" about it.

I think I did it a bit better than you, Huss. I'm not arguing about crisps, though...
Re: Scott Harrison gets green light by BBBoC yesterday
I agree. There was something about Mickeys crisp joke which sets it apart from the other boring crisp jokes.black panther wrote:Huss wrote:My point?mickey1975 wrote:I read it? What's your point?

No it was derivative, my previous 'crisp' joke robbed it any impact ... sorry
Re: Scott Harrison gets green light by BBBoC yesterday
I'd love to see some CCTV footage of the 'crisp' rampage, I bet that was good for a laugh?

Re: Scott Harrison gets green light by BBBoC yesterday
I didnt even hear about Harrison's crisp escapades. Sounds Partridge-esque.

Alex Morrison says Harrison could feature on the Burns bill - if he gets his licence back http://scottishfightnews.wordpress.com/ ... ence-back/

I don't think his punches are crisp enough at the higher weight........

Re: Scott Harrison gets green light by BBBoC yesterday
OK, my real reason for coming into this thread. Another year on from Walsh, where he looked old and small, I don't think he's even got British in him sadly. Would love him to prove me wrong, but his massive advantages were always size and strength, he simply doesnt have them up a weight. Good luck to him, but he's got to look to the next step on his career sooner rather than later. Trainer?
