Antonio Tarver. His performance against Danny Green in Sydney really impressed me.
I've seen better p4p fighter's than Tarver. But his performance that night has really stuck in my mind.

Amateur: Rigondeaux at the 2001 World Champs in Belfast. Fast, slick and powerful.
Pro: Paul Hodkinson, cracking fighter at his peak.

Best fight live Benn v G man, closely followed by an amateur fight in the States Darren mccarick vs ray oliviera. Best fighters, sheffield mob really naz n Herol. Also saw nearly all Benns title fights in this country, while not always the best, the most entertaining. :TU: bit envious of the guy who saw burton dismantle thaxton, great admirer :salut:

I saw Hamed v Belcastro at Hillsborough Leisure Centre & Hatton at North Bridge Leisure Centre against Dillon Carew but sometimes in the fledgling days they are matched quite easy & you honestly dont know how good they are/will become.
I have said this before but Hatton at North Bridge was the least supported of the 3 Manchester boxers on the bill.

Hatton on the way up against Thaxton. He was like a threshing machine. Mike McCallum on the Benn v McLellan undercard. He was past his best and didn't have a great opponent in front of him but he just oozed class. So relaxed. Also, Glen Johnson when he beat Toks Owoh over here. He was excellent that night, totally schooled Toks. Calzaghe was on form the night he beat Omah Sheika.

Best though was Joan Guzman on the undercard of Calzaghe fight at Cardiff castle. He was like a tank and thought I was watching someone very special. Waste of talent.

unless I am missing someone- always a possibility with my abysmal memory- Froch is probably the best I have seen in the flesh.

Tommy Hearns, albeit not a vintage performance.

Benn, Eubank, Calzaghe, MAB, Khan

"Peak/Zenith/Pinnacle/" Froch, Haye, Hatton, Hamed

I'd probably go with Froch or Haye in terms of utter dominance and result, in terms of performance.

Couldn't agree more. Really thought he was going to be one of the modern day greats. Proves yet again how talent means nothing if you haven't got the discipline and desire to go with it.

In terms of quality on the night, Steve Molitor. In my mind he was in a top bracket along with the likes of Mayweather. Think he was unbeaten when I saw him. Was a surprise when the lanky Panamanian Caballero beat him up! ( And Richard The Secret Williams! )[/quote]

molitor for me too - very very good at his best

Floyd without a doubt pure talent wise.

loved Barrera and saw him fight a few times, and have seen Marquez a number of times as well as Pacquiao, Hamed, Benn, Eubank, Oscar etc

but Floyd is the best.
