Re: BTW SEASON WEEK 28 RESULTS: OFFICIAL THREAD *incomplete*
And upon quick analysis, our CPU friends have finished bottom seven times out of eight. And Agustin Senin resisted the tide and came out as Champion of Group B.
One last thing I would add is that I'm glad that none of the third placers have been eliminated on a head-to-head basis. I always think that it's a bit unfair to see two guys end up on the same amount of points and one heads out whilst the other marches on.

Re: BTW SEASON WEEK 28 RESULTS: OFFICIAL THREAD *incomplete*
On a related matter, I'm pleased to announce that I judged the draw for four World Championships perfectly and that the last four fighters will enter the Semi Final stage with a World Title each.
It means that both finalists will enter the big finale with two World Titles each.

Re: BTW SEASON WEEK 28 RESULTS: OFFICIAL THREAD
Woah there, so we are saying the Harada -Gomez result is going to stand, despite all the discrepancies, specifically the points tallies? After 10 completed rounds, Gomez would have retained his title.
The cut thing was flawed, to say the least, but putting that to one side, Harada winning on points after 10 rounds when the SIM calculated 12 is not right, in all honesty.

Re: BTW SEASON WEEK 28 RESULTS: OFFICIAL THREAD
The Sim didn't calculate 12. Both you and Crease were misinformed on that. It scored 9 rounds.NazNaci1 wrote:Woah there, so we are saying the Harada -Gomez result is going to stand, despite all the discrepancies, specifically the points tallies? Hmmm if so, we retract our 'protest' and congratulate the New Champion
We can now move on.

Re: BTW SEASON WEEK 28 RESULTS: OFFICIAL THREAD
Don't take my word for it. Go look at the scorecards yourself and actually count the amount of rounds that were scored. I know the score reaches over to 12 on the readout, but only 9 scored rounds are there.
I can see why it confused you and Crease to look at, I had to do a few double takes myself.

You'll in all likelihood do better if you join in next season from the beginning during the draft.Uppercut1 wrote:Damn. My fighters suck.

I joined last Season when the draft was already over, and my fighters were pretty mediocre last season too.
I barely ended up with winning records for those 2 f*ckers, and I never won any titles despite a couple of opportunities.
Re: BTW SEASON WEEK 28 RESULTS: OFFICIAL THREAD
It's not just all about the quality of the fighters (though that too is a factor) but I think it comes down to experience. For example, if you entered the Sim on Week 22 and even if you selected Muhammad Ali (for example) there's no doubt that he would have the quality to do well, but it would probably take him five or six weeks to get going.gilgamesh wrote:You'll in all likelihood do better if you join in next season from the beginning during the draft.

And by that time, all the other fighters would have at least 26/27 fights under their belt, whereas Ali would still be learning.
Timing is just as important as the quality of fighter. Mr Fist selected Marco Antonio Barrera and I just think that he might not have the time to build Marco up to Championship winning level. Whereas I would argue that Barrera has the potential to be a Championship winner before the start of the season.
Each season takes on it's own narrative and the quality of the Managed fighters is not the whole story.

I agree, which makes Clinton "Lost in the" Woods rise to undisputed champion even more great... it's a shame that the new HOF fails to recognize him, even though he was in the original hall.gilgamesh wrote: You'll in all likelihood do better if you join in next season from the beginning during the draft.
