Not saying anyone is right or wrong, just trying to understand how the double taxation agreement applies. When you talk of Limited Companies, can I take that to mean the double taxation agreement only applies to individuals?

On a serious note I can only pass on what I know.
If that's seen as blowing my trumpet well I'm not going to apologise but that sort of comment would only come from someone who doesn't know me.
In that respect Tear Up I'd never tell you to shut it although you do go on a bit about how superior you were in your career.

I've dealt with purse scenarios and contracts for a long time including fights home and abroad. Abroad includes Euro title fights in Europe and World titles across the pond.
I learnt a valuable lesson many years ago when I discovered that Promotors for Euro titles were responsible for the fighters tax - and that payment could be made in Euros.
I'm not going to be specific because there is a thing called Client confidentiality but fact is there are many many variables.
Of course Managers take varying percentages anything up to 25%.
Like wise Trainers.
There are many instances where Managers have a % deal but choose not to take it off the fighter.
As with all professions there are ways of being tax efficient.
I would always have higher earners create a Ltd Company to arrange the fight and pay the fighter a wage.
However as an ex pro Tear Up surely you are best placed to put us all right.
