I have seen him on some old videos at rinside and in the Roy Shaw books.
Why did he always wear dark sunglasses?
Was it a due to an eye condition condition or just a gimmick?
I know his son Greg used to promote shows ocasionally.
Any info would be welcome.

ronnie kray told me his eyes were very sensitive to light as he took horrendous flashes from the field guns he fired in normandy,nice fella alec was,originally from leeds.
