Unknown causes for stoppage losses
Re: Unknown causes for stoppage losses
Well I can't be overly descriptive, but I can tell you that Wills flattened Page with a massive right hand and Cooney battered Chaplin fair and square after maybe losing the majority of the opener. And I think from memory Witherspoon caught Wills early and he never recovered. As for the rest, I'm sure others can fill you in.

Mike Koranicki had taken a severe pounding and was well behind on points. With a swollen face and also a cut eye, the corner visely retired him in the interval between 9th an 10th round.

Actually he said Wills' 1st loss to Spoon. I don't know about the stoppage, but Spoon said in an interview after he retired that the 1st Wills fight was his toughest fight, and that afterwards he was urinating blood.
Wills with management, proper preparation and a 10 week training camp would be a frightening proposition.
He scored a one punch KO over Page in the second fight. Page was returning from having him gumshield inserted and walked right into a massive overhand right. He got up but was waved off.
