You are so blinded by your extremely strange crush on anything Fury related that it blinds you.
Chisora would beat Thompson in my and most people's opinions.![]()

You cant discount any Heavyweight who has power, and im still not fully convinced about Fury's chin either, ok hes been getting up following knockdowns but hes never actually faced a decent puncher as far as i recall.

Fury's chin will be tested and probably broken if he fights Wlad Klitschko or WilderLooking On wrote:You cant discount any Heavyweight who has power, and im still not fully convinced about Fury's chin either, ok hes been getting up following knockdowns but hes never actually faced a decent puncher as far as i recall.

Pulled out of a final eliminator against pulev aswelllillywhite14 wrote:You are a cranky bastard Horse, I'll give you that. You put Fury down a lot. You seem like you are a hater.
Just because I also think he doesn't posses the greatest chin in the world, is too easy to hit and isn't the next great heavyweight doesn't mean I hate him. Its just opinion based on observations I've made.
I also think Tyson is a nice bloke away from the silliness of fight promoting. From what I've seen of course. I don't know him personally.
Liking someone doesn't mean blindly supporting them and refusing to criticise. I actually should have said his handlers bottled the Price fight before, which they did for whatever reason.
Price is another fighter I like but he has his flaws. Chin, stamina, awful jab considering his physical tools being a few.
I don't hate many if any fighters come to think of it.

Re: Does David Price stand a chance against Tyson Fury?
Fury didn't duck either of them, his team steered him away from Price and he lined up a harder fight than Pulev, for bigger money.keithmoonhangover wrote:So you agree Fury ducked Price and Pulev?Horse wrote:To fight Haye, which was a better fight.columbo wrote:Pulled out of a final eliminator against pulev aswell

The buck stops with the fighter. Tyson Fury's signature is on the contract. The decisions are ultimately his. He decided to vacate the titles and duck/avoid Price. It was his decision.expe wrote:keithmoonhangover wrote:Fury didn't duck either of them, his team steered him away from Price and he lined up a harder fight than Pulev, for bigger money.

Ok, Keith. If Manny had signed to fight Floyd in 2009 would you have accused him of ducking Brook? The buck stops with the fighter...keithmoonhangover wrote:The buck stops with the fighter. With his power, he has a chance against any heavyweight on the planet.
With his chin, he has a chance of getting knocked out by (almost) every heavyweight on the planet.

Not quite the same really. When Fury gave up the titles to avoid Price they were at a similar level, certainly in terms of popularity and exposure
Re: Does David Price stand a chance against Tyson Fury?
It's a case of who lands first. Fury wouldn't be able to take Price's bombs that's for sure in my view but if Price doesn't get him out of there inside 2 or 3 rounds it's hard to see him winning.

Re: Does David Price stand a chance against Tyson Fury?
I do not think Fury ducked Price. He had a more dangerous opponent in David Haye.
Not to mention a ton of more money.
Now getting to Price.I think we are all a little to hard about his chin at this point.
Yes.He was stopped by Thompson twice. But only touched the canvas once.(please correct me if I am wrong)
Let's look at the chins of the other top British fighters.
Fury and Chisora have both touched the canvas twice each.David Haye has touched the canvas 4 times.
None of the chins are granite.
If Price can learn to defend his chin he can still make some noise.
Not to mention a ton of more money.

Fury relinquished the belts and a career high payday at the time ( possibly since too ) in order to fight a washed up Martin Rogan. It's easy to see why plenty ( myself included, although I believe his camp advised him not to ) think Fury avoided Price back then.

Re: Does David Price stand a chance against Tyson Fury?
Price's chin isn't as bad as some are making out, it's his stamina which has a major question mark.
He needs to have 5 or 6 hard 12 round fights before that question mark is put to bed. The problem is most people can't take his power that long! The whole thing means his career is going to be a nightmare to manage.
In terms of the Fury fight, I think Price would tag him early and knock him out, but if he didn't, there's every chance Fury could wear him down.
Great fight and I hope it gets made.
I don't think either are good enough to rule even once Wlad has long gone, but I do believe both could hold a belt at some point.

Back to Fury. He gave up the British and Commonwealth titles rather than fight Price. is that ducking?
Seriously, if Haye had done the same, you wouldn't hesitate to accuse Haye of ducking.
Truth is Mickey, you are completely biased towards Fury .I'll be cheering him on against Chisora, but I know he ducked Price. You know how I know that? Because he did.

I couldn't agree more. Thompson was a stupid fight to make. It was far too much of a jump for him. He needs rounds. 10 rounders with the likes of Zack Page and Kevin Johnson.Happy Slapper wrote:Price's chin isn't as bad as some are making out, it's his stamina which has a major question mark.

Re: Does David Price stand a chance against Tyson Fury?
Price doesn't have a rock solid chin and neither does Fury, both can be hurt and stopped (can't most boxers?)
Fury is the more versatile and better body puncher, Price hits harder.
I think a bout between the 2 would be a good scrap and deserve a biggish stage and good money.

So he'd fight him for nothing at 17 but wouldn't as a grown man for a fortune? Maybe Mick didn't want it, but Tyson would fight anyone.keithmoonhangover wrote:Yes.mickey1975 wrote:Ok, Keith. The Pricee fight was bad for Tyson when it was being talked up. It'd not have done silly money and may have derailed everything. Moments in time.mickey1975 wrote:So he'd fight him for nothing at 17 but wouldn't as a grown man for a fortune?
