It's all there:
Judges who can't find their arse with both hands. Referees who think they are "in the fight", or "go to sleep" on the job. Managers who will send their fighters into buzzsaw after buzzsaw in any attempt to capture glory, other managers who strategize for ratings to a fault. Some managers wandering about with head firmly up arse without a clue. Some leaving the business allowing their fighters to flounder and eventually join the ranks of the homeless. Because said manager jus' don't give a rats ass about the very fighter they took on, when it all looked promising.
Even the absurd decisions, the great rivalries, the guy who has no business in the top ten, but Like Sven Ottke somehow finds himself nearly undefeated and rated highly. Never being defeated by an opponent, but by a hard head and possibly brittle hands.....
And Eder Jofre, arguably the best in the weight class holding on to the lead in performance points, deservedly so.
A CPU champion? Is that a first?
It has at least the "air" of reality.
I think this in some ways is shaping up to be one of the best seasons on record.
Eventually GBP will ride superior training and good luck to the top, and defeat all comers as we always do.
But until then, it does look competitive.
Sincere Thanks to FOL and Crease for their diligence this season!
Just how "real" is sim?

I laughed out loud twice at these two sentences... Well done Buzz.BoxBuzz wrote:It's all there:

No. We had CPU Champions before, even some CPUs who actually won World Titles back in the first Light Heavyweight season after The Great Deletion.BoxBuzz wrote:A CPU champion? Is that a first?

We say that every season, but such as the excitement and appeal of The Sim!

Great post Buzz, you've summed it up well
It's been a fun season and I'm enjoying my experience as commissioner. Crease and I do alot of the work around here but there would be no sim without the people, so I say thanks to you all for helping make this game kick ass for so many years.

edit: I do understand that you guys have been doing this for many years. no disrespect
so without further adieu, let the dinks kiss
Re: Just how "real" is sim?
The typical nonsense from one who had first choice. Elite, special, upper class, never had to work for it.
However, You should kiss the dink.

Re: Just how "real" is sim?
I'm still getting my head around the entire Sim world.
I'm a newb to this sh!t what can I say?
I'm keen for next season though, coming in halfway has left my fighters battered and bruised.

Re: Just how "real" is sim?
coming in late had little to do with it. Tangling with GBP fighters...is always battering and bruising.

Same here... its always tough to build up non-drafted fighters, even tougher on a shortened season.... which is why the New HOF should acknowledge Clinton "Lost In The" Woods, from Undrafted to Undisputed and member of the original HOF.Uppercut1 wrote: I'm keen for next season though, coming in halfway has left my fighters battered and bruised.

It is BIG!!!Uppercut1 wrote:I'm still getting my head around the entire Sim world. I'm a newb to this sh!t what can I say?
When you look at the basic premise of the BoxRec Sim - we have the greatest fighters of all time of a weight class meeting each other from each week to determine who the best is. With the amount of boxing enthusiasts that we have on this site, frankly I'm surprised that more people don't see the allure and the excitement that is the world of The Sim.
Re: Just how "real" is sim?
Well said Buzz. The Sim World isn't as rosey a place when you don't have the Number One draft pick. Without the top pick it becomes harder, more complicated and more challenging.BoxBuzz wrote:The typical nonsense from one who had first choice. Elite, special, upper class, never had to work for it.
