No venue has been announced yet, but I'll definitely be going. The talk that I've heard is that it's more than likely going to be an outdoor event, and probably down in the Balmoral area.

Yeah, it's going to be at the Titanic Quarter. Though they've kept that part vague, they must be going to erect a raised ring and make it an outdoor event, as we suspected.

The Titanic Quarter is where the Odyssey is located, though clearly it's not behind held in the Odd, or they would have stated so. Titanic Quareter is across the river from Belfast City Centre, it's sort've on it's own wee island, which I have heard called "Queen's Island", but I don't think that is it's official name.

It's basically a MASSIVE space which has also has an industrial estate toward the back of it.

Well that's what I'm saying, mate. I'm surprised that they haven't went in to more detail with this. I'm 100% sure now that it's gonna be an outdoor event, but it's gonna be bad weather (September) so I was a wee bit surprised that they were so keen on it, but I guess that Belfast doesn't have a venue big enough to hold this event.

It probably will be a raised ring, as I mentioned. And probably load of high barriers blocking the view of the fight off from non-paying observers.

This is probably a stupid question, but is that where the Titanic ship was built?

The venue is to be on the site of the Titanic Slipways, exactly where the ship was built. Barry explained today that essentially, purpose built tiered stadium seating would be installed to create a 16,000 seat outdoor arena on the site.

It sounds magnificent and is essentially just round the corner from the Odyssey Arena, so easy access for the city centre, hotels, bars & transport.

Hopefully there's some sort of cover for the seating, obviously the ring will be, but if they wanted to surely they could cover the rest of the seating.
