Katsidis V Earl

Post by colin russell »

Cant work out why this bout is taking place, what will the winner get out of it apart from a black eye and a bloddy nose. Its not there World ranking will put eighter one up for a Title. Earl hasn't fought since 2009 and Katsidis since ? Maybe it should be a WWE I quit match you lose you quit. Just my thought what am I missing.

Sometimes fighters just like to, you know, fight. So long as there's a chance to knuckle some one and a pay check, that's all the reason true fighters need.

One of the most dangerous fights I have seen.
I would quite happily pay Mick the entrance fee not to fight.
Is the promoter liable if something goes amiss?

Nope, nor is Qld ANBF
IMO, everyone is over reacting. Nothing has been submitted by British Control Board concerning Earl's welfare

Yes it has I read the letter from the BBBC they wouldn't licence him so he got licensed in Spain.

Thanks for confirming that. Makes this fight even more diabolical than I had thought.

No such document exists. If it did, why didn't ANBF Qld receive it? I doubt Earl is registered in Spain...wouldn't need to be to fight in Oz nor outside UK

British Board of Control is a non-government body as is ANBF Qld. As such both have limited power.

Man says he read the letter from the BBBC and they wouldn't licence Earl.

You calling him a liar?

If Earl is registered in Spain do they accept Spanish registrations here? If they do he would need a clearance from Spain. If they don't Earl would be registered here, so than he would be most likely registered in NSW or Victoria.

There are reservations from many quarters about this fight.

It will probably take a ring death before people start taking seriously and applying the due diligence they are entrusted with.

No dramas of either getting hurt at this stage although it's all Katsidis. About round 5.

Worst possible result for Earl wins 1 round out of 36 and has fought one of our hardest punching fighters.
First fight in 5 years over 12 rounds

A 12 round pounding. Just what a guy who shouldn't have been in the ring in the first place needed.

Hope Earl still thinks the money was worth it when he has a chance to weigh things up in a few years time.
