We are going round in circles, Keith, like I said, Wlad-Briggs, I could probably go on all day if I wanted.

If Wlad has to fight Briggs or vacate the titles and chooses to vacate, then he's ducking him. Anyone could call Wlad out, it doesn't mean he's ducking them if he doesn't fight them.mickey1975 wrote:We are going round in circles, Keith, like I said, Wlad-Briggs, I could probably go on all day if I wanted.
Price ducked Chisora? Do you agree?
Bowe ducked Lewis? Do you agree?
Fury ducked Price? Do you not agree?

Does it count as ducking when you forego a domestic title in the expectation you will meet the same guy for bigger things and bigger money a bit down the line?

it's nice that we can have an intelligent and well thought out debate.mickey1975 wrote:No.keithmoonhangover wrote:If Wlad has to fight Briggs or vacate the titles and chooses to vacate, then he's ducking him. We've had one, we disagreed, no point going back and forth.

Though I never agreed that Fury ducked Price.Your argument is valid.keithmoonhangover wrote:If Wlad has to fight Briggs or vacate the titles and chooses to vacate, then he's ducking him. Price ducked Chisora? Do you agree?
Bowe ducked Lewis? Do you agree?
Fury ducked Price? Do you not agree?
It would be hard to argue basic logic as you stated.
But this is a boxing site and logic usually goes out the window.

Price and Fury couldn't be made in the past because of TV and promoterstiny_acres wrote:Though I never agreed that Fury ducked Price.Your argument is valid.keithmoonhangover wrote:If Wlad has to fight Briggs or vacate the titles and chooses to vacate, then he's ducking him. It could have been made. It just wasn't.

You're right, either Mick or little Frank should have pissed off their broadcaster and taken their prize asset to fight on a rivals channel.

I didn't say it would have been easy. Any fight can be made. They just sometimes aren't.
Re: Does David Price stand a chance against Tyson Fury?
Back when this fight was getting hyped up Price was knocking everyone out and Fury looked to shit it and vacate.... then Price got exposed by Tony Thompson and the win for Fury looked a possibility.
Before Price - Thompson 1 I was talking to Pricey's sponsors and they said "after he beats Tony we are fighting Chisora later in the year its all agreed we had dinner with Frank and Pricey a few nights ago".... as we all know he got wiped out and the Chisora fight was out the window.
Price has a punchers chance against pretty much all the heavyweights but Fury is proven over 12 rounds and as others have said, if Price gets hit he goes into panic mode and if he doesn't get Fury out of there in the first 4 - 5 rounds then Fury wins for me.

Before Price's losses, this was one of the biggest fights to be made in Britain. It would have sold out a stadium

Oh Keith. You never stop with your narrow-minded, short-sighted and simple interpretation of situations. You honestly think something as complex and shifting as champions vacating titles when sanctioning bodies, managers, promoters, mountains of money and more lucrative markets are involved can be, in all cases, always summed up with your one sweeping statement: Fighter A ducked Fighter B . . . ? Is the bigger picture really that hard for you to comprehend?keithmoonhangover wrote: If Wlad has to fight Briggs or vacate the titles and chooses to vacate, then he's ducking him. Price ducked Chisora? Do you agree?
Bowe ducked Lewis? Do you agree?
Fury ducked Price? Do you not agree?
You follow your absurd line of logic and you arrive at Lennox Lewis 'ducking' John Ruiz. You infer any number of heroic fighters who vacated belts to take on a better fighter, or because of sanctioning chicanery, or promoters taking advantage of them, of some many infinite variables, are cowardly.
What if Wlad, who I couldn't care less about, had dumped the WBO strap to expiate a Pulev fight? The world would say 'thank fack for that.' You'd be alone, with your arms folded, sniffing at Wlad, saying 'But he ducked Alex Leipei!'
Please . . . just stop being insane.
