UNLESS they're proposing Abraham fight Smith in Liverpooljameswilson wrote:Can't for the life of me see how that would work. We're more or less in the same timezone with Germany unless they are only proposing showing the Smith v Abraham main event, in which case it isn't really 2 bills of boxing together.Boxerbeetle123 wrote:Fvck that.G0mez wrote:Someone on a another site said it was being discussed to be Smith vs Abraham / Clev vs Bellew II on PPV in a double-bill.
Could be horseshit but who knows..
Is Clev/Bellew 2 going to be a PPV ?

I wouldn't pay for either of those fights nor them together.
Re: Is Clev/Bellew 2 going to be a PPV ?
If this is PPV I'll cancel my Sky subscription in disgust!
This is a good fight with genuine needle (it is genuine but I agree they were given a 'helping hand' Saturday) that will no doubt be hyped to hell by Sky but lets face it its not more than a domestic level fight is it?
In days gone by this may have been for a British title but in todays age of 'eliminators' I'm sure it'll be made for one of those.

I hope they make it pay-per-view, because no one would buy it, and the clowns at Sky would have to rethink about the B level crap they are being sold by matchroom.
Why would anyone buy PPV to see a couple of average domestic cruiserweights ? Bellew's wrestling let-me-at-him shtick is a good effort, but as we saw in the Stevenson fight, it means bugger all when the bell rings

+1. Total embarrassment if it's a PPV. Please do it Matchroom to show everyone how stupid you've been. 2,000 buys? Less?MightyWarrior wrote:I hope they make it pay-per-view, because no one would buy it, and the clowns at Sky would have to rethink about the B level crap they are being sold by matchroom.

stacked undercard on the way
Re: Is Clev/Bellew 2 going to be a PPV ?
If it's stacked full of 50/50 fights then great however if it's a repeat of Saturdays 80/20 MisMatchRoom card then no thanks.Counter-puncher wrote:stacked undercard on the way
Re: Is Clev/Bellew 2 going to be a PPV ?
I can't see the appeal of the fight outside boxing fans, both fighters been exposed at the highest level so at best it is a European Title fight and no matter how much WWE type hype it won't sell to the people who went to the Froch fight or bought that PPV. It's not like they need the PPV money to justify the purses in putting the fight on so if it went PPV it would bomb and deservedly so.

In todays Sun it is mentioned that Froch v Degale is about to be made with Cleverly v Bellew as chief support
Re: Is Clev/Bellew 2 going to be a PPV ?
I wouldnt be surprised to see Ricky Burns on such a bill as Hearn keeps saying about him fighting out of Scotland. If the show is in Liverpool then Burns v Matthews wouldnt surprise me.

If Bellew V Cleverly is PPV I, like most others posting here, will not be buying it. I can see the undercard all ready, Joshua v Rogan, Callum Smith v Tony Dodson, Kevin Mitchell in a final, final eliminator etc. etc.
Interesting to read that Froch v DeGale is in the works, not heard about that yet, seems a bit of a let down if true though. Froch is going backwards in opposition.
