I know it's a weird connection but they kind of remind me of each other. Neither one blessed with great boxing ability but both fairly rangy fighters who just wanted to have a barney.
Shaun Cummings lost a debatable fight in Italy for the Euro title in a bout that would have given him a world title shot against Julian Jackson for the vacant WBC Middle title (probably for the best that he lost then
). After boxing he turned his hand to minding & other activities before a crash left him paralysed. He ended up murdered in his own pad & hacked up. Not sure what happened to the perpetrator but I am sure plenty on here can educate me. Pemberton was great fun to watch & I remember a battle he had with Omar Sheika years back which was fantastic fun to watch. I know that he, like Cummings, had been inside for a while (armed robbery?) but he was an all out fighter in the ring. Wonder what he's up to nowadays?
Anyone have any info on either fighter or can mention other fighters like them who were as big a battlers outside the ring as they were inside of it?
Jesse James Hughes was another who was on a good roll before he was mysteriously killed almost 20 years ago (bloody hell I am old it seems like a couple of years ago).
