So Eddie is twisting Frochs hands again. Chavez fight is probably a fantasy so he might as well coherse him into fighting DeGale. I love to see the fight personally, appart from GGG this is the best fight for Froch in my opinion. But will Froch be motivated to put in the work and come in top shape? Because he is in trouble if he doesnt.

Eddie Hearn/SKy will easily be able to Come up with a marketing plan for the fight and I would reckon the PPV totals will be higher then Froch - Groves 1 by far

no chance of this doing more than the groves fight , degale might of won a gold 6 years ago but he's been in the shadows ever since he is hardly know outside of boxing fans and the ones that do only know him as the man groves beat . the only way this sell PPV is if hearn markets this as frochs last fight and builds on that, degale couldn't sell out a 3000 seater hall never mind a PPV
Mate, I said it would sell more than Froch - Groves 1 not 2. if you did realise that and still think it has no chance of beating it then well I'm not sure what to say.The general public definitely had no idea who Groves was before the first Froch fight and most people would have been largely oblivious to George beating Degale. they will however remember the kid who won the gold medal and once Eddie/sky spin It that he could be the first British gold medalist to win a world title plus its a domestic clash which they will engineer a bit if beef plus the fact that Froch is now pretty much a household name after Wembley then if you still don't think it will do better numbers then Groves 1 then fair enough.

No offence but I really don't understand boxing fans like you TBH...he called George nursery insults like 'ugly kid' and accused him of having bad breath hardly the worst offences in a brutal sport like boxing.
fair enough if you dont want to pay because you think it will be a rubbish fight or whatever and I don't know if you know/met James which reinforces your belief he's a twat but Ive met him have once at a show and he came across as a perfectly decent guy as other people who know him personally have told me.
No offence taken. You like who you like, we're all free to like/dislike sportsmen whichever sportsmen we want.

To me, he was just annoying purely because he was making "nursery insults". He seemed to be under the impression that he was somehow being funny, then he'd come out with such hilarious witticisms as "you've got bad breath".

He seemed to get this idea that he had Ali levels of charisma and wit, and he doesn't. Sometimes saying nothing is better than saying something. And don't constantly repeat the nursery insults constantly in an attempt to make them funny? He didn't call him 'Ugly Kid' once, he called him it a dozen times per interview. It wasn't funny the first time, by the 50th time I heard it it was downright frustrating. And making that nonsensical bet on the outcome didn't make him look tough either. (And no, I didn't think it was particularly cool when Fury and Chisora did it either.)

I'm not expecting boxers to be Oscar Wilde. We watch them to box, not talk. That's why I get annoyed when they try to be funny and aren't.

Maybe it's just me. Press conferences don't tend to interest me. I watch for the fight, not to listen people talk shite. Which is why I got annoyed every time I'd be watching a fight, and they'd cut to DeGale in the crowd going; "I'm going to fight Ugly Kid. I call him Ugly Kid, because he's Ugly. Get it? See you in the ring, Ugly Kid. Just don't breath on me. He's Ugleeeeeeee."

God, whoever told him he was funny must've been playing a practical joke on him.

I prefer this to JCC Jr. JCC Jr is an easy win for Froch and it'd be at 5am... no way I'd pay for that fight.

DeGale is a interesting fight, you'd have to fancy Froch because of the levels they've been fighting at, but DeGale has a style that can make anyone look bad and he's hard to hit. My problem is that DeGale doesn't have the pop to make Froch stop coming forward the way Groves did in the first fight.

Froch is superb on the front foot, but very ordinary if he's forced backwards, which kind of suggests DeGale's style is pretty good for Froch.... although DeGale has a pretty solid beard by all accounts and Olympic Gold boxing skills.

With a Clev v Bellew undercard and a couple of other decent ones on there I say bring it on. I'll hand over my £18.

I can't see anything that suggests Degale has anything in his locker to trouble Froch. Froch is obviously getting on a bit, but his training regime means his decline is slow, and he's still a physical monster in there.

I'd be amazed if Degale went the distance, and it might be better for him if he didn't.
James, surprised you see it as one-sided. I think it'll be very close.

DeGale is quite slippery...not as slick as he thinks...but I've been impressed by how he has soaked up the shots that have got through in his career. He seems like and very hard man to me.

Jim McDonnell was saying he's been carrying injuries too. I think this is a close fight...and Degale's style not one Froch will enjoy...

There's soaking up shots, and then soaking up shots against Froch. Froch may not generally be regarded as a KO artist per se, but he's a spiteful puncher who throws every shot to hurt, and an underrated body puncher.

I just don't think DeGale would be at all prepared for Froch mentally, and that ultimately when confronted by a full steam ahead charging Froch, he would unravel. It's all about levels. Groves had the punch power to earn Carl's respect in the first fight, I don't think Degale has.

Some trainer you are; thought you would have a bit more faith in your fighter. ;;-)
