Fair point to an extent, but Fury's made a rod for his own back here. He's come out with some right rubbish saying Haye & Chisora faked injuries cos they're terrified of him, said he'd always fight no matter what etc, then pulls out because his uncle is ill?

I'm not personally going to criticise Fuy as I don't know the full circumstances (and I don't have a ticket to the fight!), but he's got to expect a lot a criticism considering everything he's said in the past.
I don't disagree, he should keep his trap shut and he'd have less problems and get more respect. I remember him mouthing off about Haye getting cut in sparring and being a pussy for pulling out of their fight. Then just days before his next fight Fury himself got cut in sparring and pretty much had to go through with the fight, with an unhealed wound, to stop himself looking like an arse.

i thought with fury being so proud of being a fighting man from a long line of fighting people etc that he would rather go fight for his uncle and make his uncle proud if you know what i mean! i thought saving face was a big thing with travellers, surely his uncle would rather he went out and fought and lost than looked like a "shithouse" as fury himself would say!

Geoff McCreash boxed for the British Title the same week his dad died, he walked through some horrible punches to win and said he'd done it for his dad.

Appears to me the Peter Fury has decided that Fury isn't in the right frame of mind and didn't want an unfocused attaining the ring thus jeopardizing future fights.

Considering everything fury has said on pull outs being the ultimate fighting man you thought he would have been like this

Thats the dangerous thing about critisizing opponents for pulling out fights, even if you have genuine reason to pull out yourselves and its correct, you'll get a lot of poo thrown your way

I reckon if Fury is that cut up then he shouldn't fight but he still has less of a reason to withdrw than Chisora

I understand what a lot of you are saying, but it's not just Tyson, the mans peters brother. He also trained Tyson for most of his career. Who knows? I certainly don't think it helped Del pulling out, he's a very emotional man and needs structure. Also, I don't know how poorly his uncle is, but if it's critical, travellers will keep a vigil outside the hospital.

You play at others sports, you don't play at boxing. It maybe explains why so many fights get called off. If your not 100% going into the ring, it could cost you your life.
True about the playing but fighters fight at below par all the time most heavies for example are rarely fully fit by virtue of the weight they carry.

If his head's not right then maybe he shouldn't fight. but if something like this is going to make his head not right, then he can't expect people to spend their money and time arranging to watch him.

It's his business. He has shown himself to be unreliable, therefore he can't expect people to pay him any more. They'll spend their money on someone more reliable.

If I had booked tickets for this and my uncle went to hospital, do you think they would give me my money back? Like fornicate they would.

I hope Ustinov starts tweeting about how Fury has pulled out as he's terrified of him, see how Tyson likes being called a coward!

Anyway, still quite a few decent fights on tonight, looking forward to spending the evening in front of the tv with a load of beers, glad I didn't get tickets now though.

if it was any other fighter he'd be getting waves of sympathy. Luke Campbell never got any shit for taking a break when his dad was ill. Hughies apparently in a really bad way, and tysons priorities may well be to support his distressed family, hardly a crime.

If it was any1 else it would be "he shouldn't be anywhere near a ring...etc". Imagine if he turned up with his head in a mess and got put in a coma cos he's not switched on? How would you all feel about that? I for one would rather show a bit of compassion to the family, there could be old folk and children in floods of tears, boxing is only a sport at the end of the day.

People really need to understand that he talks big to SELL FIGHTS. It really is as simple as that.

Fury Can't catch a break can he?

I personally would have fought on but as I understand it was Peter Fury who pulled Tyson from the fight. I'm gutted about this but don't blame Fury: if your heads not right the last thing you want is to be is in a boxing ring with 6ft 7inch 300lb man trying to take your head off.

I am however, very, very glad I didn't buy tickets. I almost bought some as soon as the Ustinov fight was announced.

I have as much compassion for them as they would have for me if I called them and asked for a refund on my ticket because my auntie was crying. That is, none.

It does seem an odd pull-out. Would his uncle not rather his nephew went on fighting?

Buster Douglas fought Mike Tyson after his mother died, his father ditched him and his wife was battling cancer.

your a bit of a souless person then. Have you thought that maybe PETER doesn't fancy it, what with potentially losing a brother at any minute. When the time comes for you to have a seriously ill close family member, think about this.

R u a teenager? You are aware that Tyson Fury isn't actually a promoter?

I understand Fury pulling out if he has a family member very ill, he must know the situation however, if this uncle is not gravely ill to the extent of a family passing I would get the fight on and 'Do it' for my uncle and the rest of the UK watching.

Only Fury knows the score. However tough fight for late replacement and proberly wise to do so if you dont want to lose.

It's not all doom and gloom chaps: some decent fights on the card and later tonight Bryant Jennings vs Mike Perez & Golovkin Geale should be good scraps!

Said in the Mirror he was fighting Ustinov for 10% of the purse he was getting for Chisora, I wonder if that had anything to do with his frame of mind ?

I do with what you are saying.

A few years ago didnt Darren Clarkes (golfer) wife die of cancer and he played in the Open and won it. Im sure Barry mcGuigans dad was poorly once apon a time leading up to a fight, not sure just thinking about yesteryear.

We will never know what would of happened tonight , Fury might of dodge a bullet not fighting tonight, a defeat could of affected him mentally for the rest of his career leading to more ko defeats against fighters he might of not lost on his undefeated run, every individual is different if it was me i would of dedicated the fight to a family member and boxed, but as i said it depends on the individual circumstances

No I am 45. And I don't care how they feel. You don't either, if you're not posturing on a message board. What I would care about, if I had a ticket, would be the waste of MY time and MY money. To say different is nonsense.

I hope his uncle is ok, but frankly, it's a shit reason to pull out and inconvenience all those people. If he can't get his head right and go through with his commitments when something like this happens, then I am not going to spend money on him.

I ask again, would they give a fornicate and give me my money back if my uncle was ill? You KNOW they wouldn't.

This. Risk didn't meet reward. Considering a lack of motivation fighting for crap $ and a non-stiff opponent in front of him they came to the conclusion this wasn't worth the risk. Fury could've easily lost this fight. And for what? No money.

Diddy you do love a conspiracy do you mate, are you sure you even like boxing as you seem to have no respect for fighters and are quick to question their pull outs without any proof, that just seems to be the first place you go to without checking facts, within minutes of Chisora withdrawing you claimed he bottled it

Why do you not piss off back to CS with rest of the paranoid schitzophrenics
