Fury fight off
Re: Fury fight off
Peter pulled him out , because his head is'nt right ,, when did it go wrong , did he develop problems in his head , after he signed , or was it after he thought it was a setup , if the uncle is seriously ill ,, '''' what '''' did he wake up seriously ill this morning , or did he get ill before Tyson signed for the fight , or did he get more serious AFTER Tyson got it in his head that this guy had been training for fighting Tyson behind closed doors .
Maybee Tyson despite all his bravado , has really been fed a lot of fodder , and now he has to go in with a BIG half decent boxer , he's developing some head problems ,, and just not too sure anymore ,, after all I do doubt the uncle has only got that sick today .
I know i have had some things happen when i've been rushed to hospital , but each time its entailed EMERGENCY surgery .. Other times i've been admitted , for sickness ,(cancer ) i've known about it for a while

Re: Fury fight off
Why is it a shit reason? Peter is the chief trainer, and his brother is seriously ill. You don't think that might affect his performance at all? Let alone tysons. Vs a fighter ranked in the top twenty who weighs 300ibs. So both the coach AND the fighter could turn up with their head not in the game, and that's ok. Not at all dangerous or foolish.gp. wrote:

I hope his uncle is ok, but frankly, it's a poo reason to pull out and inconvenience all those people. If he can't get his head right and go through with his commitments when something like this happens, then I am not going to spend money on him.
I ask again, would they give a eff and give me my money back if my uncle was ill? You KNOW they wouldn't.
You come across a jaded, bitter man if you are 45 years old can't empathise with a family having concern for an ill loved one. I honestly feel a bit sorry for you. Bet your single.
Re: Fury fight off
didnt rob mccracken's mum die right before one of carl froch's major fights and he didnt mention it and went through with it in the corner so as not to let carl down?
Re: Fury fight off
I think his interview with kurgan after weigh in showed he was concerned. He was claiming that ustanov had been sparing klitschko and wach as well as delboy.
I dot think his head was in it, his mind probably is on his uncle but everyone carries on with there job. Yes he needs his concentration but he has to shut his mouth about chisora and haye.
As for whoever mentioned luke Campbell, he took a break, he didn't pull out a fight on the day just took a break to sort himself out, he is a novice and just learning his career, Tyson is on the verge of a world title shot and isn't fighting, he has been screwed but I would have thought as a fighting man he could carry on.
I hope his uncle gets well soon and we see Tyson actually tested by a tall, strong heavyweght

Re: Fury fight off
Didn't Tyson once say he would never pull out of a fight?
Re: Fury fight off
Is this simply Fury deciding to get his own back on everybody due to the 3 previous 'pull outs' . He's thought- they've done it to me, so they're getting a taste of it. I just don't know who ' everybody' and 'they' are just at the moment.
The whole event this week stinks to high heaven. Rumours of poor ticket sales - broken hand - good replacement - uncle's not well, fight cancelled. Good work for an investigative journalist I would suggest. Or am I just looking for a mystery when they're isn't one.

No, married with kids. I know what it's like to have close relatives in hospital and not to know whether they are dying or not, thanks. That is MY problem, not anybody else's. If I'd asked thousands of people to use their own time and money due to a commitment I had made, I would do my best to honour it. if I didn't honour it, I would hardly blame them if they didn't put their time and money on the line next time I asked for it.stevieb_8006 wrote:Why is it a poo reason? Why do you think "the show must go on"? It's not because actors are brave. It's business sense.
Tyson Fury is a paid entertainer. I know he's a sportsman. but his living comes from entertaining people. If he pulls out because he's afraid he might lose because he isn't right in his head, then he loses his audience. And if you lose your audience it doesn't matter if you're the best sportsman in the world, you can't make a living.

When you all find out what's gone off nobody will blame his withdrawal.
NOBODY.

Well I can't judge that until someone tells everyone "what's gone off". He owes the truth at least to the people he's cost money and time, surely.
Re: Fury fight off
I'm sure I just heard on talk sport that Fury is fighting????? Maybe I heard it wrong as I wasn't paying full attention but it was somthing along the lines that in the last few minutes it has been confirmed (then I missed the details) fight tonight is back on.
Seriously I'm not trolling, I'm sure that's what I heard

EVERYBODY LSITEN UP ,its not just the uncle thing ,i don't know if anyone else has spilt the beans on this thread as i have not read through it , But i was told something in confidence that i am bursting to ram down the throats of the Fury bashers on here but i can't , something bad has happened the night of the weigh ins by all account, if you Guys knew you would lay off the BS spreading, i know Fury ent no angle but he never deserved this particular bout of real bad luck .
Re: Fury fight off
This is absurd. If it's something other than this, then somebody needs to get that information out there. I am not going to feel in any way bad for giving my opinion on the information that has been released.

Just let it out. You have to PM someone so others can know what's what.

Re: Fury fight off
I think given all Fury's talk about pull outs, it's a bit rum on the day of the fight. Ok, the uncle is ill, but some fighters will have used that for motivation.
Usually one would be more sympathetic, but with Fury's chat about everyone beng pussies for pulling out etc etc

Have you not read what G0mez wrote? And for all his faults, he's in the know.reggaereggae wrote:I think given all Fury's talk about pull outs, it's a bit rum on the day of the fight. Ok, the uncle is ill, but some fighters will have used that for motivation.

I read what he wrote. There's no substance to it. We have to go on what has been officially released until someone comes forward and gives some other information. Vaguely saying "there's something I can't tell you that changes everything" doesn't cut it.
Re: Fury fight off
I get you mickey and I can't see the point of coming onto the forum and letting others know that you are privy to inside info without telling others. Surely if you know something but don't feel able to let others know you'd stay off the forum?

Maybe, but he's only sticking up for Tyson. It's not his job to start telling everyone.palooka wrote:I get you mickey and I can't see the point of coming onto the forum and letting others know that you are privy to inside info without telling others. Just heard the Talk Sports news again, fight definitely off. Not sure what I heard earlierchad wrote:I'm sure I just heard on talk sport that Fury is fighting????? Re: Fury fight off
Yeah, that's fair enough but these threads get full of Chinese whispers there's a couple of posters who know the genuine score and that's why most people come on here. The cat'll be out of the bag before long I'd have thought.
