Gavin vs Bundu
Looking forward to this one on Friday night, how do people see it going?
Can see it playing out very similar to the Vassell fight, although Bundu looks pretty tough so he'll probably last the distance. I think Frankie's going to look great & get a landslide points victory.

how are ticket sales going?

Well I thinkwhiteboy wrote:how are ticket sales going?
Just had a look on Civic site and seems no £40s are available from them, I know Frankie tweeted recently he's got around 10 left.
It'll be packed come fight night I'm sure. Looking forward to it, Gavin UD for me.

What's the deal with ticket sales, am I missing something?ste1983 wrote:Well I thinkwhiteboy wrote:how are ticket sales going?

Re: Gavin vs Bundu
Well I answered originally based on whiteboys post being a genuine question how sales were going. But I'm guessing that he's having a pop at Warren as some people have a conspiracy theory the Fury/Chisora fight was pulled because of poor ticket sales.Boxerbeetle123 wrote:What's the deal with ticket sales, am I missing something?ste1983 wrote:Well I thinkwhiteboy wrote:how are ticket sales going?

Ah ok. Don't think I could handle another fight being called off this weekste1983 wrote: Well I answered originally based on whiteboys post being a genuine question how sales were going. Re: Gavin vs Bundu
I'm just messing around - well I certainly hope so anyway as i have tickets myself.
Should be a clear but competitive points with for Frankie. Looking forward to seeing Joe Costello in action

Re: Gavin vs Bundu
If Frankie hasn't got his head on he could be outworked. However, I see him grinding out a decent pts win.
Re: Gavin vs Bundu
Frankie wide points win 4/9 not great odds and the stoppage is only 20/21

Re: Gavin vs Bundu
Oh right, that time I bet against Khan. Good one.
Re: Gavin vs Bundu
I think/Hope Frankie pulls it off but it will be a close, hard fight I think. Bundu would be a hard fight for some of the champions out there I think and would probably give Brook a pretty tough fight aswell. I think Frankie could beat Kell but stylistically I'd fancy his chances against Bundu more than I do Frankie's (although I think Frankie will win still) just because he has that power to go with his boxing ability.

Re: Gavin vs Bundu
Gavin has a chance to show what he can really do against a very live opponent. I expect Frankie to win and win well.
Re: Gavin vs Bundu
I'd practically forgotten about this fight, not being well publicised.
Re: Gavin vs Bundu
Until Frankie shows me otherwise I'll take Bundu who has shown me much more. Bundu is getting old, but to be honest I don't see why Frankie would be the favourite.

He is getting old but he doesnt look like an old fighter in the ring so far. He looks pretty well reserved.DMA1987 wrote:Until Frankie shows me otherwise I'll take Bundu who has shown me much more. Bundu is getting old, but to be honest I don't see why Frankie would be the favourite.

Which is a shame, cos it's a cracking fight. We should find out plenty about Frankie Gavin, it's a close one to call, but I think he'll take it on points.

Perhaps it's been eclipsed by all the weekend's shenanigans, will look forward to this as is a good mix of styles - and I will be rooting for Frankie.Dan Dares wrote:

How much have people seen of Bundu other than the Purdy fight? Must admit I haven't really seen much of him apart from that, so not sure if I'm over/underestimating him.

He ain't what you'd call slippery, but he's quick & strong & can definitely punch, for a bloke without a lot of knockouts.
