when was the last title fight?

Fury and chiz are out

Price is out AND abroad

lewison isn't moving

don't forget John McDermott who should be stripped of his English title for not defending it. Its a real shame as this country has a potentially very lively HW scene but none of them fight each other some promoter needs to get hold of this and get the ball rolling something like hennessy has done for the light heavies would be a start.

I say this seriously, it is high time Audley fought for the British title. He was to win it in his fifth fight if memory serves.

Surely, Harrison v Sexton is worthy of a small hall headline for the British Title?

Audley, lewison, McDermott, Cornish, Sexton versus each other and others lower down the rankings all look good. Then throw in price, Joshua and Chisora as possibles later on IT looks like such a promising division if only matches could be made.

very few fights to be made

why would sexton v Cornish be an eliminator? who would the winner fight? maybe Lewison. that would be ok

I reckon Dillian Whyte is going to stir things up once he's back in October. Could be English champ by middle of next year and then who know how far he can go?

I'm assuming the rescheduled Chisora vs Fury fight will be for the title.

As an alternative I like the sounds of .

Cornish vs Sexton = eliminator
Joshua vs Sprott = eliminator

Winners face off.

He'll be a welcome addition to the British heavyweight scene. I just hope they don't rush him too much; 2 years is a long time out.

No point taking silly fights until he's got a decent amount of rounds under his belt and shed the rust.

Upon recommendation he bought a tub of recovery powder drink (Jack 3d) from a supplement shop and drank it without knowing it had a banned substance within in .

Hardly the same as injecting steroids etc. Essentially he didn't knowingly cheat.

He was given a 2 year ban to be made an example of. I'll gladly welcome back someone like this. Meanwhile Larry Olumbamiwo was back within a year of testing positive for 13 banned substances. Go figure.

I see your point but as BP already said, Whyte bought a can of pop to help recovery well before his fight and it was an over-the-counter purchase.

Enzo, Larry and others were caught for an awful lot worse and received a lot less punishment. Doesn't make any of them right but it does show how harshly Whyte was punished and that athletes have to be exceptionally careful what they eat and drink.

There might be other factors influencing UKAD judgements. I don't think Whyte had a wealthy promoter behind him either.

I think he looked very good and clearly progressing well when he got banned for Jack3d and I was looking forward to Whyte fighting John McDermott for the English title.

I just hope he's kept up his training and sparring well and I really believe he will be a big name in the future.

One of the major problems with Jack3d was that there was stuff in it that wasn't on the label...anyone who took it and was banned should have had the ban immediately over turned.
