So when are we getting the promised 'real reason' Tyson pulled out? (As positively confirmed by posters 'in the know'.)

This charade is getting odd and weary. If there is a reason apart from the Uncle illness or the more reasonable suggestions of the above posters about the Ustinov fight being too risky.... Let's hear it!

Ps I notice serial tweeter Tyson hasn't tweeted for days; which at least suggests there is something serious going on in his world

Another unwritten family drama is entirely possible.

But I maintain it will be an Audleyesque intimation of outside interference and hidden agendas for vested parties.

I won't copy and paste, but some good comments there from David Payne and Coney.

I haven't heard any other reasons for the pull-out (although admittedly I am not "in the know") and Mickey1975 has been quiet for a few days.

Travellers are notorious for being scammers and liars.

I can't imagine a situation which makes a big mouthed boxer pull out of a fight without a decent explanation, and having the hide the real fact... Losing half a million quid as well as fan respect... If its so serious ne would expect him to release the details?

Ok.... There is one situation I can realistically think of..... There's been some kind of serious family disagreement?

Some kind of violence? If the uncle is really ill and Tyson had to pull out.... I'm guessing from the evidence, that there was some kind of violent disagreement between Peter and Hughie Fury, and the result is that the uncle is now badly hurt?

Ok, this has been going on for far too long...

The reason Tyson pulled out of the fight is simply because Peter is a top class trainer and (perhaps more importantly in this case) manager. There are no conspiracies!!!

Peter simply saw that Tyson’s head wasn’t in the right place. This combined with the fact that Ustinov looked pretty tasty (a career lightest excluding his first fight) and posed a dreadful risk to reward ratio, prompted Peter to make the sensible decision and pull Tyson out. Consequently, Tyson can now go back to fighting Chisora in Sep/Oct, which has a far better risk to reward ratio, due to the fact that he (potentially) gets Klitschko if he wins!

The only thing up for debate is why wasn’t Tyson’s head in the right place??? And it’s probably a combination of his Uncle being severely ill and the fact that he was paranoid about Ustinov having been training specifically for him for weeks.

So please don’t fuel these... "I know something you don’t know, but I can’t tell you, but I just wanted you to know that I know and you don’t"... because they don’t!!!

That sounds completely feasible and the most likely explanation. So why do these (probably fraudulent, so called traveller) posters talk like there is some big secret?

I don't know who he is so I may be mistaken.

But all this 'I know the real reason but can't tell you' stuff is rather frustrating for boxing fans. I mean why bother to say this? It's a little manipulative

Look Poker Rob's said what we all know that Fury's team didn't fancy fighting a man of the same size and more power for not a lot of money. Everything else is to save face, if it was for millions he would have been there.

I know it's frustrating to read people "in the know" state that something big enough occurred for his withdrawal - and then withhold what it was.

How's about Froch vs Chavez January 24th in Las Vegas on HBO instead as a tip instead?

Fury pulled out, end of. The reasons are a public mystery and not particularly that interesting anymore. So just don't fret about it everyone.

coneye wrote:So if its true that Ustinov has been training for weeks , to fight Tyson , that would indicate that he knew there was going to be a broken hand or whatever , , and the condition he was in suggests that he has been training for quite a while , so it was'nt weeks, in fact it could off, would off, been months,, that he knew about the broken hand ,

Now this seems to suggest that its been a long term elaborate plan to get Tyson , what backs this up is the fact that Tyson himself seemed to think there was a conspiracy theory .

Now knowing he was the victim of this very VERY elabarate conspiracy , he said on the Kugan interviewe he was'nt bothered and he was a fighting man or similar .

Now i agree that it is Peter , who has pulled the fight because Tyson is not in the right frame of mind , This i agree a 1000% , But here Lies the difference , my theory is , , There is NO CONSPIRACY ,, my theory is maybee just maybee , Ustinov has done what Chisora has done , and thats LOOK around , yes look around, and see how piss weak, the heavyweight scene is , and then decided to stop facking about and get in shape ,

Now this i would suggest he decided months ago , because you don't trim down and get in shape in 2, 3 or even 4 weeks , for an heavyweight it takes MONTHS , so based on the fact, that months ago ,he decided to take his carreer a bit more serious , , and got in shape , , well based on that ,when offered a fight with Tyson , he JUMPED AT IT ,, yes jumped at it has a quick way to fast track himself ..

He was offered he took it ,, then at the weigh in Tyson, and co GOT A SHOCK , not only when he looked in shape but he looked liked he actually wanted the fight, and was not in the least intimidated . .

Tyson has then gone public with the, look at him , look at him , he's in shape,, shite , he's not supposed to be like that , he's supposed to be big, and flabby, slow and ponderson , and scared ,, BUT he's not ,, but it don't matter cos i'm a traveller , and were fighting men but i'm being set up , but were fighting men it don't bother me routine ,

This has got uncle Peter worried because , he then has to look at his favorite nephew , and think fack , Tysons meeting a guy his own size and he's worried,, what we gonna do , his minds not on it,, he's worried , so he pulls him out

Tyson not being in the right frame of mind , and Peter pulling him out like i said i think is 1000% correct ,, just what unsettlede his mind , well i don't think it was his uncle getting sick on the day , i think it was Tyson getting sick on the day , big big butterflys in the belly sick , when faced with the thought of fighting a slick, slippy fighter, his own size in good shape , and i think Peter got sick in the belly when he relized the guy was in shape and might do a number on Tyson .

They should of just said , Nope we don't want it , we have been preparing for a short nugetty fighter and you give us lurch .. . But regards the training for Tyson for weeks , bollocks that means he must have knew Chisora was gonna break his hand .

And somehow i believe Chisoras reason for pulling out much more than Tyson , its not fair , i'm being set up Fury .

You must have spent ages typing that....it was worth it, GREAT post :TU:

Problem there gonna have , is getting people to buy tickets now . In fact until Tyson can convince people he's not gonna go loopy, and pull the plug at the last minuite ,I doubt he will selll tickets,, i think he's done a lot of damage to his own carreer .
Facts are he is just coming across , has a very fragile man , in the head department . , who would want to pay for hotels , tickets , train fares , , petrol , whatever ,, when you know your paying to watch someone who does'nt give a fack about you losing money and will pull out at the last minuite , if his head is'nt right ..

I know it was Peter who pulled him out ,, but Tyson allowed him too .
