Its looking quite good for TV Fights over here, with Sky competing with ITV we will probably get some top fights from the states also, atleast delayed (day after) if not live;

I wouldn't be suprised if we get some of these big ones;

Castillo says he will make lightweight for certain this time. He says he only didn't make weight last time because his something interupted his training, but the fight IS set to be for the lightweight titles.

ITV schedule looks the business - anyone think JC / Lacy would be PPV if it was on Sky?

Might have to cancel Sky now, unless they come up with Zab/PBF, Pacman and co - and I don't mean a week late, which is next to useless.

You know I tend to agree...cannot help but think Hatton has shot himself in the foot.....he could be getting incredible viewing figures on ITV, though I wonder how well ITV pay...?

I've heard it said they only stumped up 50,000 for Naseems last fight on ITV way back in the 90s, wonder if that's true...

Hatton-Maussa got 150,000 PPV buys in the U.K. How much was it? About 15 quid I think. So thats £2.25 million. Plus the sell out gate money. The gate was about 16,000 wasn't it? I'd say that pulled in about 2 million in tickets, programmes and merchandise etc. Plus sponsorship......God knows. Then American TV money. I'd say all in that it was about 6 million or so and that maybe conservative. Now he's away from Warren I think Ricky would get at least a 1/4 of it all. Much more than could be offered by ITV.
Yep. Only the well off or boxing fanatics are getting to see it. But in the last 10 years that has always been the way with the highest profile fights.
Maybe Lacy-Calzaghe will be the start of something really good. High profile, live fights on your terrestrial T.V. But somehow I think it will prove the exception and not the rule.

Bear in mind that the PPV money doesn't all go to the promoter to dish out....

Merchandise etc is run as a concession.

American TV money must make up a fairly large proportion, was it a PPV over there, I believe it was....

Ricky got a whopping payday for this fight, IF what I've heard is true.

Its not all about his boxing career though. If Hatton was on national TV he could make a load of money doing talk shows etc (being a celebrity) after his retirement.

I think he's already made enough not to have to worry about retirement. It's not like he's a flash harry who drives around in a McClaren F1 or anything. Doesn't seem to have a taste for the high life, so his money should go a long way barring disastrous investments..

Dann's good but this Toney is a big puncher and well rated, he's not your usual african coming over to get paid, his a proper live fighter, could mix it with top 10 middleweights, - interesting and tricky for Dann.

Keep the faith in Scotty Dann. He might have beaten a friend in Wayne Elcock , but i still like the lad.

He will beat Toney , 11th round KO win.

Watch out for Lee Haskins and Dan Guthrie , they are going places.

yeah Lee looks a real puncher at the weight.

Dan was in a real barnstomer i recall and lost last time out.

am sure he will bounce back tho nice little stable the Sanigers have down there.
