Paraphrasing here, but it was along the lines of 'I believe I'm the best' (covers mouth), 'I'll fight Saunders and any of my British rivals whenever they like' (covers mouth), 'I'll be British champion in three fights' (covers mouth). He didn't do it while making any of the more innocuous remarks, and was quite happy to sit back and let dad do the talking when the interviewer pushed him to commit to what he was saying.

It's arguably a telling habit. You could perhaps interpret it as Eubank Jr deep down does not really believe he can back up these big claims. Prospects who take on such an exaggerated hardman persona and talk such a wildly good game have a tendency to break when faced with their first big test.

His silly boasts remind me of Fury, who says the most outrageous things about dead greats and greying, fat 50-year old greats, but at press conferences in the presence of live, dangerous men (Haye, Ustinov) I've noticed he suddenly dons sunglasses and tends to sweat, tremble and behave erratically.
The erratic behaviour from Tyson has been telling. I think he is struggling with the magnitude of the fights he's in and secondly, his own desire to sell contests, be a man of the people, is making him excitable and encouraging a lack of control and composure.

I'd like to see Eubank against Adam Etches think that would be a good test then I'd like to see him against Ryder if he came through that :D
Etches would be another great scrap :TU:

Surly eubank jnr should be matched with Adam Etches, Nick Blackwell, Eammon o Kane,Craig McEwan John Ryder first.

Blackwell has said he'd take the fight but Eubank has already turned it down

Eubank Jr. seems more interested in writing shite on Twitter than he does in taking real fights.

Well, if Jnr is going to beat Mayweather in a few fights as he claims; he definitely needs to step up. Ahem....

I wonder if the management are talking him the bum of the month way until a big fight comes up. His name will draw a lot of press and maybe they're not willing to risk him.

Who knows. Like Peter McNeeley and father Tom.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets Steve Collins Jr in his next fight just to generate more interest, without actually being tested.

Steve Collins Jnr has only had 3 fights and he's a crusierweight!

Eubank mentioned it on Saturday, seems to be the easiest fight for him now

I don't see the eubank vs spike Sullivan fight happening now. Eddie will more than likely get him to fight on his bills more regularly especially with 2 dates already set.
