Glasgow Commonwealths

Post by MacTavish »

Any tips for drinking locations - going up for the finals on saturday and need some ideas.

Prefer classic old school (though not the type you're afraid to speak in an english accent!) rather than trendy.

Heard the Horseshoe Bar near Central station is a must?

Cheers.

Get of the train at SECC and instead of taking a right to go to the venue, Just 100 yards in front of you is Dumbarton Rd leading onto Glasgow's West end where you'll get every type of pub, bistro, cafe, that will give you a flavour of every type of Glasweegan.

For close proximity to venue, I'm heading to finnieston. Plenty of boozers and close to hydro

Don't you mean argyle street? Dumbarton road starts at the bottom of Byres road no?

Nicola Adams makes it an Olympic and Commonwealth double. Good on her. I thinks she's great.
