The best way to beat guys like GGG and Kovalev is go into the trenches with them and beat them at the counter punching game. Unless you're a ultra-talented counter puncher and can effectively work off your jab and fight off the back foot (while making them miss), using too much movement isn't a good game plan against either of these guys. You have to find a way to get inside and take away their power (easier said than done), whether it consists of holding or simply getting in their chest, you have to do something to disrupt their rhythm and keep yourself in position to stay away from their power (and yes it's possible).
Most of these guys that are going in against GGG and Kovalev are scared to feel their power and fight scared from from the first round. It's almost like their opponents are too nervous against them and simply don't have the confidence the second the fight begins.
If Caparello defeats Kovalev...

Thank you Sergey for finishing Blake in two rounds allowing us to watch the Rios fight :)
Re: If Caparello defeats Kovalev...
Caparello fell apart very easily. Thats why you never know when untested guy steps up what he'll do.
Re: If Caparello defeats Kovalev...
Some people were saying that he was top 10. LOL !
Re: If Caparello defeats Kovalev...
Its a long way from top ten to p4p.
Re: If Caparello defeats Kovalev...
Losing badly to Kovalev isn't good evidence that someone isn't top ten. I didn't have Caparello in my top ten but I think it was arguable and I didn't have him far off.ikorolev wrote:Some people were saying that he was top 10. LOL !

He has to beat somebody worth mentioning before being considered in top 10. There are so many undefeated prospects who become journeymen as soon as they step up competition.crusader wrote:Losing badly to Kovalev isn't good evidence that someone isn't top ten.
