Gavin vs Bundu - 29 press scores

Post by fightscorecollector »

Close fight, thought Gavin just shaded it but I have no problem wit the winner. At 39 he has some engine on him, hope he gets a title shot soon.

here are the scores and how did you score the fight?

I had it 115-112 Gavin,i actually found it an easy fight to score bar the 10th and 11th which although i gave Frankie i was dithering whether to give to Bundu but decided to go with Gavin's neater boxing but couldnt argue with them being Leonard's rounds,so if i did give they 2 rounds to Bundu i would have had him winning 114-113,Gavin's reluctance to stay away from the ropes seems to have been his downfall, but i think everyone can agree that it was close, most people having no more than a round in it

It does seem Bundu deserved it going by majority of scores so im happy Bundu got it plus he seems like a likeable chap so i hope he gets a shot at a world title before its too late, criminal actually that he's been European champ so long without so much as a sniff of a title shot :shame:

I think Bundu said that in the Ifilm interview, he has defended the Euro title now for a few years and would only consider defending it again if big money is offered for the rematch.

thanks for your replies

I'd love him to have a good pay day or a world title shot but he's going to struggle for a title shot as he's a proper handful and gives no fighter time to breath and it's hard to look good against him.
His biggest payday will probably be the Gavin rematch.
