You don't half spout some nonsense. Moore hasn't done anything to anyone. In better news, he is definitely going to be OK and will be able to get back into training once he's recovered.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, as we saw with the Tyson Fury thread.

Get well soon, J-Mo AKA Chief Dude to the Dude.
I didnt say he had done anything Terry if you read the post properly. I said he's obviously pissed someone off in some way. I didnt say he'd done anything. I very much doubt that was random.
there's nothing "obvious" about any part of it. Why can't people just wish the lad well and be done?

Moore is currently under armed guard in hospital.

Take from that what you will.

I'm pleased that the word is now he is on the mend and will not suffer any permanent damage as a result of whatever went off. But there is the mental scars to consider - and also the fact it could get uglier with witness accounts and revenge.

He's a got two beautiful kids and they must have been terrified by the news as to what has happened.

I forecast that the impact of this shocking incident on the "Marbella Boxing" scene will be very bad for the fledgling gym.

No amount of assurances will pacify Jamie's wife into letting him go back again I would imagine after this.

These aren't isolated incidents in Puerto Banus. It's like the Wild West. The gyms hardly going to go under, either, Macklins "manager" is worth hundreds of millions.

Hope he recovers quickly. Always seems a really nice down to earth genuine bloke.

Regarding the lad earlier on stating his opinion, it is a fair assumption to make given the limited information provided, any reasonable person not directly involved would of thought the same. I think it was a bit unfair of how he was jumped on for thinking out loud. And this is only an Internet forum to which no one who does actually know the in's and out's of the incident will be posting any relevant circs or information about it here. I can assure you the Spanish Police won't be combing this forum for any leads.

Get well soon lad.

I wouldn't want to train there, or more importantly have anything to do with that 'manager' or his fighters given what's reported.

if the paper can feel free to name and shame the gang members like that they must know they are on the right track. Can't believe that if so much is known about them 'he' feels free to come back into Ireland etc. Or is free at all! Like something from a TV drama.

PS - if I'm found dead could someone check my account for PMs?!

This is crazy, I sent my brother there last month to look at the area to see if it would be suitable for me to live during the winter (as in wheelchair friendly), I didn't realise there was so much trouble going on there.
I loved watching Jamie fight and was gutted he didn't get a world title shot, he really does come across as a top man and i'm sure he is.
I wish him and his family all the best.

Macklin seems quite intelligent so I'm not sure why he linked up with people who were always going to give him bad press. Macklin from what I recall was a very bright youngster and was studying for a Law degree when he started boxing and it's quite difficult to get into Law. Now he's getting arrested and connected to people who are supposedly serious criminals. Surely he knows this could make him look bad.

Although I will admit I don't know the ins and outs. Maybe the guys are actually cool guys and not criminals at all and the papers have overblown everything.

Don't know him , but from all accounts on here he is a nice guy ,, so if he was just unfortunate that he was in the wrong place , wrong time situation , . Then its time to say FACK THIS FOR A LARK , and get the hell out of dodge , use the publicity to try and get a job on tv maybee commentating , , going on the box , laughing about the new wild west , and showing the veiwers his scars , . go to dinner parties , and have a taliking point for the rest of his life ,

If its more than that ,, well its still time to say , FACK THIS FOR A LARK , i've got a familly and i'm getting the fack out of Dodge ,

Or i suppose , if theres a bit more sinister stuff involved , he can stay and next time it could be a machine gun that cuts him in half , or just simply a better shot .

Whichever way , he's lucky that whoever shot him was either a good shot, and got the target , or a bad shot and missed the target , But its up to him now ,

If he's has good a guy has every one says with no ties to that sort of living , He would now just GET THE FACK OUT OF DODGE.

His new gym was just profiled in Boxing Monthly I think. All sounded very positive. Not sure it is really judging by this.

"The attack happened in the early hours of Sunday morning as the retired boxer left the home of Daniel Kinahan, son of underworld figure Christy Kinahan, who was recently cleared of drug charges against him.

Mr Moore, from Salford, has been training former opponent Matthew Macklin who owns a a gym in Marbella."

Macklin is apparently "idolised" by the Kinahan family.
