Hopkins defeated Kovalev? This being that he would pretty much be 50 years of age and Kovalev has looked great in all of his fights upto now and is widely seen as possibly/probably the best guy in the division now and a more dangerous threat than Pavlik? For me it would be an astonishing win and really would make you question if the guy is human *dont take that literally*

Any wins by BHop at his age are incredible. This fight does not define his legacy, but does show he has more guts than most of the current champions at all weights combined. Kovalev, GGG, Wilder are good examples of devastating punchers that have not been tested against elite fighters yet. They may all turn out to be the best at their weight by a good margin.

Kovalev is more dangerous then Pavlik, Kopkins had a good win against Shumenov, but looked bad with Murat when he had to exchange heavy punches he did not look good, if he will exchange with kovalev the way he did with Murat he will definatly loose, the fact that he lost to Calzaghe and Dawson while calling him self an alian proves that his not a real alian like he really acts, but just another fighter with good fighting skills while running around the ring a lot,

I predict Kovalev beating hopkins not sure if its going to be a knock out or a decision but kovalev will beat him

but if he does beat kovalev then that would definatly be the biggest win of his career.

I will believe it when I see them touch gloves at the first bell. There is a long way to go before this actually takes place.

It's truly remarkable that he's even able to compete with the top fighters in the weight range, at his advanced age.
Every time he fights at the top level, at an even older age than the time before, it's remarkable. Literally.
With his generally boring, energy conserving style aside- it's always a pleasure to see an old man out-think and to technically wreck the styles of younger opponents.

I don't know if he'll beat Kovalev, but I'll enjoy watching him try.
(As long as Nard doesn't break out those old man flopping shennanigans we've occasionally seen haha)

i don't think you can compare the two fights , hopkins is a reigning world champ where as douglas was a unfancied challenger plus kovalev is untested against elite fighters , i still see krusher as an exciting prospect rather than an established champ . if hopkins pulls of the win it would be an amazing victory for him but not as big as douglas beating tyson.

as u know, I dont go by record. rigo didnt have to beat an elite fighter before the donaire fight, for me to know that rigo was much better than donaire (who was tested against elite fighters).

kovalev is an atg in terms of physical ability and power. X will 99 % lose thisfight, not nessecerly sayn by ko or TKO, but X will run from K punches and get tagged on the ropes and lose energy at the second half of the fight and than willlose UD or late round tko. I mean everyting is against X. age, power. only technic X is better, but normaly is not enough.

Anytime anyone beats a top guy in a division it enhances their rep. Bhop at his age defeating a top guy becomes closer to being a Paul Bunyon type mfer in boxing history if he hasn't already attained that status.
