What makes it even more amazing is that Armstrong was often defending or going for these titles while weighing sometimes up to twelve pounds lighter than his opponent! - which is a big amount at that weight.

And he beat great champions for those titles too... Lou Ambers is probably one of the most underrated Lightweight champs... though Armstrong was robbed against him in their rematch...

For fighting and winning way above his natural weight class, not to mention the dedication to carry on when he must have felt like packing it all in.

Henry Armstrong achieved an excellent thing in holding the 3titles at the same time, but how long did he keep them all?? its not like he dominated in all three weights...or even one of them....he did well to win the 3 for sure but what sort of connections did he have to get the chance back then 8)

The medic was going to stop the fight becuase of his nose hanging off and the amount of blood dripping from it, Rockys corner pleaded to let their boxer fight just 1 more round, the medic grudgingly agreed.

Charlie Goldman told Rocky,
"You're gonna have to knock him out this round Rock"...

Rocky went out, faced Charles and knocked him out that round, then and there!!!

Thats some accomplishment, firsty ti have the B***s to go back out with that much damage done to you and secondly for finishing the fight!!!

-foreman winning the hw title at 45.
-willie salazar at 42-20 stopping a then thought to be unbeatable danny romero.
-buster douglass ko'ing tyson.
-mike weaver's ko w/45 seconds to go in the 15th against big john tate.
-monzon & robinson's 80 fight unbeaten streaks.
-duran winning the middleweight title at 37 & a heavy underdog against barkeley who had just ko'd hearns who had ko'd duran 4 years earlier.
-archie moore's carear and remarkable perserverence and age defying accomplishments.

"hanging off" is a bit of an exageration. It was a very nasty and unusual cut (anyone seen one like that on the nose before or since?) but is wasn't really "hanging off".
