Terry's lawyer said his client categorically denies being involved, and of course Terry was found not guilty. Fwank said the shooter had a mask on, so he couldn't identify who it was. The shooter immediately drove away in a bright red fire engine, before potential witnesses turned up.[/quote]
I heard the real shooter had his wife send Fwank a lovely bouquet of flowers :TU: .

I hope this is incorrect, because Macklin had landed on his feet with this fight and his career badly needs reinvigorating.

I dont have anyway of verifying it. Im certainly not trying to be malicious nor purport that i know its off as a matter of fact. At this stage its no more than hearsay and i dont try and dress it up as anything else.

The lad who told me has been to NYC to watch Macklin fight and pretty much grew up with him in south brum.

I genuinely hope its not true though as im a big Macklin fan.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the show is cancelled do you think Sky or Matchroom want to be associated with shootings in Marbella.. I certainly wouldn't plus the fact Moore should be the priority here..

On or off, I think Sky (and others; BBBC?) need to do a thorough investigation into the 'Kinhell connection, Macklin and others' contracts and dealings with them etc.

I really like Jame Moore, always have, and hope he didn't know who/what Kinhean was, or involved in. If he did and still socialised with him I'd be very disappointed and more suspicious than I thought I'd be when the news broke.

Though obvious speculation gland twitching, the mention of Marbella and shooting instantly led to a range of musings that the possibilities could include fall out/fight/threats from a boxer or trainer in the camp winding up some lowlife 'local'; extortion (and no pay up) or if anyone there is involved in drugs (anabolic or otherwise) or security. I'd be surprised now if the gang..., sorry, home owner wasn't the real target.

I would assume Moore will be asking himself a few of these questions.

I learnt YEARS AGO , in that life style you can't be a fringe contender ,, either get in it and risk the consequences , or get the hell out of Dodge , and become a normal boring old fart . .

People are saying Jamies not in it ,, but going to patys at drug dealers houses in foreign countrys , has provd a bit hazadous for him ,, good lesson to be learned from it .

Getting shot is no joke. Moore is lucky to be alive. One of those bullets hits a major artery and he bleeds out on the spot.

You are the company you keep. Knocking about with gangsters in any capacity isn't too bright.

But that's a very harsh way to learn that lesson for poor Jamie.

Just hope he's alright physically and emotionally. Be a crying shame if it effected his ability to train fighters. He always seemed to be doing charity runs and things like that as well.

Jamie grew up in Salford with Steve Foster as his manager. He is a lovely bloke and a great TV personality but far from naive...

As somebody has already said as pleasant as jamie is he was once/still a hardcase from salford and would have known the company he was keeping was a bit shady but when you've been around people like that your whole life i'd imagine you just learn to turn a blind eye.

I think a reason for a lot of these boxers going out there could be money.

I remember reading a brad saunders interview were he said one of the reasons for going to marbella was because he could get himself some excellent sponsorship out there.

I would hope that sponsorship money for any of the marbella based fighters does not come from one of kinahans money laundering firms or this may not be the last time that gym's in the news again.

Brad is the one I worry about. He's a genuine street kid and been involved in scandals and been attacked before in the north east. He went to Marbella to get away from it all!

The Macklin fight is off, and it looks like the Card has been scrapped as well:

The right call in my opinion. Get well soon Jamie Moore.

I listened to a Partridgesque Bunce claiming to have the inside story on Talksport yesterday. His 'delicate' handling of the sensitive story being interspersed with how he had MGM t-shirts on his allegedly show and that he'd get host Colin Murray one, that he'd imagine Moore would climb into the ring on crutches to do Macklin's corner in Dublin next month and just how much Bunce seems to absolutely love the side of boxing that is a "tricky, old business" and "full of nutcases shooting their wives, their boyfriends, their trainers, their managers."

Bunce did say Jamie was the victim of a mistaken identity or of a warning for someone else...and that Bunce had campaigned for four years from 2006 to get him a world title shot. A-ha indeed.
