Porter can box to game plan efectively for 12 as shown against Diaz and Alexander. ( The latter a genuine top 10 Welterweight)

I'm gonna go for Porter points but he can stop Brook if Brook gasses late. I actually don't think there is a lot between the two and is a test for Porter too as Brook is a lot stronger and his harder than Alexander.

If this fight was in Sheffield I would I think it would be 50/50 but I see it as 60/40 in Porters favour.

I'd go with this. Porter is rightfully the favourite due to home turf and having faced better opposition. But I get the feeling a lot of ppl doubt Kell and blame him for all the pullouts. I wouldn't be overly surprised if he pulled it out the bag.

Just think porters going to overwhelm brook and break his heart eventually. Brooks not going to get much time and space in this one and as we saw in the first jones fight he's nowhere near as effective under pressure.

I'm gona go Porter points, I think he won't walk through Brook like he did Malignaggi, but that he will do enough marauding and be too active for Kell. Either KO Porter in late rounds or a good points win.

I think Kell still doesn't have the full workrate/engine to keep up with a come forward guy like Porter who goes to work early. Let's hope Kell can prove me wrong and that he has the power to genuinely hurt people at world level, if so then he can catch Porter on the counter coming in and do some real damage.

Really looking forward to this fight.

I've gone for Brook on points but in truth really should have sat on the fence as not really seen enough of Porter to form a proper opinion.

Would like to see Brook do it though!

that's the x-factor in this fight IMO. if brook can't time and hurt Porter I can't see him doing anything but get outworked. if he can get enough respect that Porter has to slow down and apply less pressure, and let Brook box more at his own pace, that's a very good sign for Brook IMO

The Buckeye state native will go down in 5 imo. I think he'll start to throw wild shots and it will be his undoing.

Yeah Brook is somewhat an unknown quantity as he's yet to fight someone who qualifies as a measuring stick for world class. I hope he rises to the occasion.

I have watched brook for a long time. His timing is as good as I have seen. The big question mark is wether he can do it to the top lads. Imo he can. Therefore porter should be made for brook. Brook can make him look ordinary if he is on his game. The other question is whether brook can do 12 rounds at a world title level fight. He may fade late on after dominating the scorecards.

Im no fence sitter, its going to be short, violent with brook timing him and getting him out of there around 5-7 rounds maybe earlier.

Brooks coming out party this one,he's gonna shock a lot of people against Porter,he lacks Porters experience but he's technically better IMO,just as quick and hits just as hard

If Brook doesnt freeze on the big stage and stamina isnt an issue,i predict he outboxes and outfights Porter

C'mon Kell :bag: :bag: :bag: :bag:

i think Brook gets stopped in this. Not that i think Porter's any great shakes, but i think Kell has flaws that will get exploited by an athletic rugged opponent who's full of confidence.

Brook has always been too upright for me, not enough movement from the waist allowing him to slip and counter with his own shots, and he's STILL got a horrible habit of pulling back from shots with his chin in the air. I can see Porter just steamrolling into him with wild, fast attacks and Kell backing up and giving ground too easily.
With a guy as physically strong as Porter that'll be bad news, Brook won't be confident enough to set his feet and launch his own attacks, and with his suspect mental strength, could go into his shell and get bullied around to a mid/late stoppage.

Could be wrong, and i often am, so also wouldn't be surprised if the belt comes back to Sheffield :TU:

I've got a horrible feeling that Porter is gonna stop him very early (1st or 2nd round).

I fear Brook will leave his chin hanging and get caught by a sweeping left or right hook and then take major punishment until the ref stops it.

Seriously hope I'm wrong but I have seen too many Brits get found out the first time they step up and this is a serious step up for Kell and away from home.

I genuinely feel that his only chance is to go at Porter from the off and try and catch him cold and blast him out.

Porter has a great engine and gets stronger the fight goes on, whereas Kell has not proven that he can do 12 at championship level.

I'm on a plane when this is on, so I'll be avoiding all forums and website until I can watch it in peace. Really hoping Kell does it, but my gut is saying early win for Porter.

I think they're evenly matched. If Kell has the mental strength to go with his boxing skills and physical gifts then he will be a formidable fighter.

Porter has more top level experience to draw upon. This could be a significant advantage.

I'll be on a Greek island with most likely no way of seeing it. Should be easy enough to avoid the result, just hope Sky keep it on their catch up section.

I've put not a clue cause I've not seen enough of Porter.

I remember thinking when I watched Brook that he's our most naturally talented fighter since Naz. Great timing as has been said.
Not sure he has a chin problem and stamina has been questioned so much that surely he will have done the prep and looked better. People point to the first Carson Jones fight but Brook boxed beautifully til he ran out of steam. Just got my fingers crossed that the size of the job means Brook puts the gym work in and has the stamina to see it out.

I really hope Brook does it.
