the bookies don't set the betting lines after betting starts. they charge vig and the gamblers
bet against each other. you are not betting against the house at that point. the betting lines
are a popularity contest once the betting has started.

you can argue the 10 count was stretched to 12 holding a stopwatch, but you can't say
"normally it should have" based on that bla bla.
1) the boxer doesn't have a stopwatch and is looking at the ref counting. douglas was looking
at the ref counting and got up along with the count.
2) if the count was shorter, he obviously would have got up quicker. he didn't require 12 even
if a stopwatch says that is what he got. when he went down he pounded his gloves and made
a face like he was disappointed for getting hit with that and was well within his senses.
3) there is nothing "normal" about a 10 count. a 2nd or two difference in ref counts IS the norm.
the ref is looking at the boxer to assess his condition when counting. in the middle of an amusement
park with people screaming all around you, try looking away from your watch and counting to 10 EXACTLY
the same as the watch and then look down and see how close you got. i don't even think he was off by 2 seconds.
4) there was no 10 count that was going to save tyson so even bringing that up again is reviving lame excuses.

dont talk nonsense. taylor came at him, joe came at him, chad came at him. no, X doesnt like when strong energitic punchers come at him, because he often losses than.

kov is technicly sound and is the strongest puncher that X ever faced and this fight is all wrong for X and the bookies no 000000000
i take it you will be betting everything you own on this then if the bookies no 0000000000000, or else it's just all talk no action

yeah i am on a forum. its all talk no action.

if you like action than go in a gym and make sparring or bet money on fights, good luck.

Kovalev does things that Hopkins can exploit, even at 50. Namely Sergey doesn't really counter much, just jumps back and lets guys get their punches off before he crushes them. He likes to lead. So basically this all comes down to how accurate Kovalev's punches are on the night and how well Hopkins slips or avoids them. Guaranteed Hopkins will be giving Sergey something to think about, we are talking about one of the greatest thinking/adjusting minds boxing has ever had.

If Kovalev takes the approach that Maidana did, just all out attack from the opening bell, I think it's his best bet to win.

I dont get this, on one hand this would be an astonishing win for Hopkins and on the other hand half of the pundits thins Hopkins is the favorite to win. It just doesnt add up.

yeah...I find it funny when people think X is the favourite. maybe they just wanna take the underdog, or a lot of peopel like to act "different" to make them ingenious....

I mean I can undertasnd fans of X hoping for a win for X. i get that. but lets stay realistic, X gonne get kod.

It would certainly be an incredible feat but what would it mean for Kovalev to win? Calzaghe gets enough shyt for beating an old Hopkins.

what the hell are you talking about of course the bookies set the odds ......it's really easy you walk into a bookmakers and ask what the odds are you then bet on the outcome and tell the bookie you want to take the price which he has told you , it's doesn't matter if the whole world bets after that as your odds are set .....
