if a fighter considers themselves great like Mayweather, he should be able to weigh about 150 or 154 and beat GGG when GGG is 160 IMO.

after winning national amateur titles from 106-125, floyd is undefeated as a pro after 23 major world
title fights at 130, 135, 140, 147, and 154, and fought all but a few of the best 130-147.
whether or not he deserves to consider himself great, how many in his generation in
any weight class have comparable accomplishments? there can't be more than a few in that group.
i almost look at floyd fighting GGG as i would floyd then fighting ward and then kovalev.

I could have worded that better. I won't go edit it, but I could have sad, "Mayweather is a great fighter." Because he is a great fighter. Didn't mean to insinuate that he just thinks that. Of course May wouldn't be able to fight at under 147 anymore, so I'd love to see a superfight between May and GGG and have GGG would come in at 6-8 LBS more, but I'm not holding my breath that the fight will be made.

If it is Kessler, it is not disappointing. If GGG KOs Kessler who Froch couldn't even drop, it will be satisfying. Abel Sanchez says that Gennady haven't even punched anybody in a fight with 100% of his force, so maybe he will have to do it with bigger guys.

I don't have a habit to think that everybody is a liar. A trainer who sees what happens in sparrings and can feel punches of different boxers hitting mitts can actually be correct saying things like that. By the way, Sanchez trained Kovalev at some point.

Once again, he did not say anything outrageously suspicious. It is always harder and more dangerous to apply your full power in a fight where you can be countered. Golovkin hasn't been pushed even close to a situation where he needed to stop an opponent or to lose, so he did not have to take a risk and go all out.

floyd says that he walks around at his fight weight, and he does.
his last 6 welter fights he came in a pound under so he has no weight
issues at 147. floyd may not want to fight at 140 anymore, but if he walks
around at his fight weight then he could make 140, easily. he was probably
under 140 when he got out of jail. his weight comes from the muscle he
puts on in training and after he retires he'll probably go down below 140
naturally unless he gets fat. he says himself that he's not a true welter.

none of the other 3 major titlists have signed to fight anybody, yet.
he shouldn't fight anybody except the other champions, even if he has
to toss the idiotic "superchampion" (whatever that means) belt and
become the #1 mandatory for the others. he should probably just toss the
superchamp belt, anyway. all the superchamps should toss those belts
all at once in one press conference. give the belts all to a charity auction
to help sick kids or something. from now on, they all just call it the
