Joshua to fight in September

Post by Gnome »

Anthony Joshua will be fighting on Sep 13 in Manchester. Since he is due to fight Sprott in October, I am assuming this will be a Wilder-esque "keep busy" fight. So who's up?

I will throw Werner Kreiscott's (18-19-2) name up for a good fight - he has improved since getting knocked out by Sprott and Dallas (both in the first round!) by going 7-0-1 in the last 18 months and also went seven rounds with Chagaev (without boxing shoes!).

Did I mention Kreiscott holds the prestigious WBU-Europe belt? :TU:

He sounds effing awful.
He's not the best, but he's been known to fight on short notice, as the opponent must be able to. He beat Danny Williams as well, for what that's worth :-?

Also a good choice, and he put his hand up to fight Price at short notice - but does Team Joshua want to put him in with someone as heavy-handed, or big, as 6'6 Dallas? This is not saying I think Dallas would win, but it isn't an ideal preparation for the 6'1 Sprott.

He looks impressive as he's tall and in shape with solid power, which is why he'd make a decent keep busy opponent for Joshua. He's obviously nothing like Sprott though.

Yes.

Joshua should be trying harder to hold back on his power shots early on to get a few more rounds in.
