A jab travels from A to B , so a shorter fighter could throw it faster and get it back in position.
Yeah, you're probably right GOmez. I've read the interview in this weeks Boxing News with Porter and I think he's got to be favourite. He has always been good class and it is clear he's been in a different league to Kelly amateur and pro, sparring included.
Oh you didnt :OhYes:

I know Gomez has fought at a higher weight but Diaz,Alexander and Malignaggi are all blown up,if there are other opponents who have fought higher than WW then their clearly not in Brooks class

Porter boxed internationally as an amateur and was a light middleweight turning pro. Brook is a strong welter but Porter may well match him.

I've seen it pointed out in a few places now that Porter struggled with Julio Diaz, hooked up with Conte and looked like unstoppable beast against Malignaggi and Alexander. Just saying :box:

I'd have thought that the powers that be would keep a particularly close eye on Comte and any fighters he was aligned with. If he's not tested positive for anything he shouldn't be tarred with the brush.

:TU: .... the thing that bugs me is that Ward has been with Conte for ages and you dont see the same accusations getting levelled at him.

Porter boxed as a middleweight as an amateur aswell I think. Weighed 165 pounds on his debut http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?cat=bo ... _id=472133

Porter looks plenty tough, Brook was very powerful at domestic level but I'm not convinced he's a world class hitter, I also think a big chunk of of his camp will have been about getting to the weight; after 4 rounds of getting roughed up he'll not have a lot of energy.

kells weight and stamina and conditioning will be right on the money for this one, the science boys from Yorkshire will have dotted the i's and crossed the t's.
