will GGG vs ward become the new manny vs floyd

Post by stevedoc »

we all know about floyd vs manny some blame one side for the fight not happening others the other side , i see simalarities with ward and GGG both highly rated and neither really have any real tests or rivals other than themself's ,but could this be a fight that never happens like manny vs floyd or will we get to see the the two in the ring together.

They aren't even in the same weight division. Until Triple G decides to move up to 168 bringing this fight up makes no sense.

why not make the fight at a catchweight (like 165 or so)?

neither were floyd and manny at first .... ward has cleared out the 168 div and golovkin would start a massive favourite over any middle weight fighter, so to me this is obvious fight for both guys .

It's only obvious if Golovkin decides to move up or Ward decides to move down. Until either does so it is a non starter.

Ward will be wasted if he makes 165. The fight has to happen at 168 possibly with rehidration clause.

When Andre gets rid of his promoter and will be willing to fairly split the purse, the fight will happen. There is no Floyd vs Arum controversy.

No question that if they were in the same weight division right now, they would both be pushing for the fight. Thing is GGG hasn't accomplished anything close to what manny or floyd has done so you cant compare.

Ward - GGG will be the new Mayweather - Berto. They never fought, but who gives a sh*t, because GGG / Berto is not in Ward / Mayweather's league.

Fighters like Golovkin are keeping the sport alive with their exciting style while fighters like Ward (with all due respect to his skills) are killing it, so yes they are in different leagues.

LOL, but probably more accurate than the Floyd vs Manny comparison.

Yes this will become the new Manny vs Floyd because 3G has already started with the lame excuses for not facing Ward regardless of the difference of what class. 3G finds it convenient to move down and face Mayweather but the minute someone says move up to MW then all of a sudden he and his managers start saying "he is strictly a MW".

3G will get away with it much in the way the public allows Manny to get away with Ducking Mayweather, he will be given a pass because people like him (he is likeable) but unlike Pacquiao he hasn't cried like a little bitch about how he is afraid of needles or how having blood drawn weakens him, nor has he been given a 50-50 deal and later on offered 40 million with the promise of talking about sharing PPV revenues so at least he is more legit than that scared Ducker called Manny Pacquiao.

Super dumb comparison. Ward is not close to Floyd in ability, much less accomplishment. And Ggg is like an anti Berto, not protected, not overpaid, with several top 10 wins (Berto one, Zaveck?). And obviously much much better

Trolls come into a nice thread to start a flame war, isn't that why you're on this forum in the first place? Burn in Hell Troll or climb back under your bridge.

You're just mad because I told the truth about Pacquiao.

It is 1.36 kilos after he already dropped 7-8 kilos from a weight which would be considered lean for a regular person. Try it.

LOL, I laugh at you because you came into this post name calling at me and I never said a word to you; that only proves that you're a troll. You had nothing viable to say about my post and why you had a problem with it but yet you chose to attack me with your 3rd grade name calling.

Real men can always touch the nerves of little women like you. If you don't have anything credible to dispute the facts I posted then why bother to say anything at all? Troll go back to your hole.

Well who wants to argue with an idiot? Might as well be talking to the wall, a huge waste of time. Lucky for you, I have a little time to waste today.

You're aware that unlike Chavez Jr's people, Team Ward never made an offer to GGG for a fight at 168, much less a lucrative, PPV one? GGG signed that offer pronto before Chavez backed out. The other money guy, Froch, has been quoted he'd rather swerve that one. So if it takes p4p #2 one division up to deflate the hype, that's a hell of a fighter. Ward never went up a division to beat p4p #2, his only p4p win was over #10 Dawson who went down a full division and came in a shell of himself.

Regarding Rich Coward, dunno what to tell you bud. It's pretty much common perception that Floyd thought less of his chances than most fans did, or his risk tolerance threshold is low, or both. You're swimming against the tide here.

It has many similarities, but I would say this match-up has more possibilities to happen than Pac-May fight.

Even if they could make 10 mil, they would do it now. I heard rumors that Ward may be travelling to Denmark to face Kessler though.
