Edwin Rodriquez' potential

Post by Kaaspeer »

Look at his most recent fights...

Sadly, he hasn't done anything lately, but I think this guy could go on to become something special in the super middleweight division, a new Kessler or Froch, if we're lucky.

He was a decent prospect up until the Ward fight, and there is no shame in losing to Ward (although that fight was awful to watch).
I have no idea why he has been inactive lately though, is he injured?

Feed him to Kovalev or let him fight Adonis Stevenson.

Fight Sillkah, Dawson, Fonfara, someone coming off a loss. He can't make 168 anymore.

The way Super Middleweight division looks right now, he has a lot of potential.

I could see him beating Groves, DeGale, Abraham, Bika, Stieglitz, etc.

Why? Edwin doesn't know how to throw a punch, he is only a raw power puncher. His ko to Grachez was pathethic, he had to be disqualified because he won using rabbit punches. I don't see him beating any good figther, and well you should look in the light heavyweight because he couldn't give the supper middleweight against Ward.

I liked Edwin a lot. but I was ashamed at the performance that he put on against ward. There is no shame In losing to the best, but his in ring behavior was deplorable. He has to get his head straight and get back on track
